St. Lucie 5 – Bradenton 3: RHP Rafael Montero made his second rehab start with the St. Lucie Mets Sunday, tossing three innings, allowing one run on two hits, with two walks and one punch-out. He threw 46 pitches, 25 for strikes.

Let's hope he can replace Parnell in late and extra innings

Mets hope David Wright returns next week

33m

The team expects he'll be back during the four-game series in Philadelphia. The 3B is 4-for-14 with two walks and three K's through four rehab games with Class A as he works back from spinal stenosis in his lower back.

Reliever Bobby Parnell headed to disabled list

Mets reliever Bobby Parnell is headed to the disabled list as the corresponding move for Logan Verrett's promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Verrett looked really good in the limited time he saw during the first half of the season.

That Clippard trade is looking like some serious savior sh*t right about now.

Yeah I did not like the move to send Verrett back down- he really pitched well.

Black out all year- and not pitching well in rehab the minors hurt too

glad it worked out but I still say you give Degrom another batter there, he's the hottest pitcher in the majors right now he needs to be able to give up a 2 out single and keep it moving there.

He was at 100 pitches. We're in a pennant race and we're heading into a territory of volume that Thor and deGrom have never thrown at before. Collins has to manage with that in mind right now so they can still throw at this level in October if needs be. So long as he's bringing Clippard or Familia on the mound in that situation it's fine.

Also, Parra is like 0-12 against Clippard. No brainer. Going from DeGrom heat to Clippard puts the batter in a tough position.

Worked out.

Conforto had a hell of a game today. I don't even remember the last time we called up an outfielder that looked like this much of a sure thing.

Need him to hit a little bit more.  Left 4 on base tonight.

The throw to home was nice but basically an easy one to complete.
