The Jets have to cut 22 players to get the roster to 53.  From the list above, please select 22 players to cut

(For the purpose of this poll, we will assume the Jets will keep all 4 QBs and that certain players at each position are safe)

Remember, you HAVE to cut 22 players and you are selecting the players you will cut (not the one you will keep)

I got rid of all backs other than Khiry.  No FB's and put one cut RB on the practice squad.

Dakota Dozier was the toughest cut for me.  Came down to him or Taiwan Jones for my final cut.

Also, I wish Kellen Davis wasn't on the "safe list" but sadly it's probably true....

Thanks for putting this together!  Pretty fun exercise.

Kellen Davis shouldn't be safe, but his spot may be. Probably grab a real blocking TE off waivers.

Breno is on the PUP and doesn't need to be accounted for.

I want them to force feed Amaro on Thursday and see if he can overcome his drops. Also want to see him inline blocking. He has the frame for it. Let's see if he can do it.

I had 21 because it looks as if Breno will start on the PUP

Sheldon is suspended for week 1 as well. Think they'll only have to cut 20 from this list. And keeping in mind that they'll be one DL down against a pretty physical Bengals team, wouldn't be surprised if they keep a surprise DL.

i don't know why he's there either.  he's not good at any one thing.  and the offense seems poised to morph into more of a spread with all the weapons they have.

yes I can understand that.  but a neg rep for an opinion of what the I feel the Jets think of him?

I actually cut Bohannon and kept Antoine Smith, he started in the league as a FB, and is capable as a lead blocker, and has much better receiving skills than Bohannon. Tommy Bo is a nice kid, but brings very little value IMO.

The rest, to me, were pretty non-controversial.

The Jets will cut some good players. What a great change of circumstances.

What a change from year's past when below average players were getting pumped up as "key contributors"

by a previous HC

Everyone that's wringing their hands over the final roster spots should remember that we cut, and re sign the bottom 3 or 4 players all the time. No reason not to use them for Petty, and Marshall Jr. Guys that show real potential. We can rotate guys on and off the list who won't be scooped up.

He sure as fug didn;t show it in that last ex game, he personally botched 3 plays.

Unsurprisingly, everyone wants to cut DL like crazy.  More surprisingly, to me anyways, not that many people want to cut Tommy Bohannon.

If Breno Giacomini ends up on the PUP list that would be pretty huge.  Trading away a QB would also change things fairly significantly.  Those 2 actions combined would save the jobs of types like Doug Middleton, Freddie Bishop, Dakota Dozier, etc.

it would suck to keep geno who will be gone next season if it means letting go of a guy they can actually groom.

I think that the work of Stanford and Bishop ar being over looked by some here. I think that they have over achieved. Stanford was all over the place against the Giants and Bishop has been very disruptive in the back field all PS

The additions of 2 new LB's early in the draft is probably to blame here.  I doubt Macc will view that unit being fairly well "set" in terms of depth the same way as we do.  My guess is at least one of those 2 guys makes the team when the dust settles.
