Your team scores 24 pts., one TD was because of a great play by Tyrod Taylor to fake a scramble and throw it to a wide open Salas, and another because of a perfectly thrown bomb to Goodwin. Your D gives up 37 pts., but they lost because of the offense. This only makes sense in the world of Rex Ryan.

Truth is, the Bills defense was lost all game. That is the problem hiring your brother. If he sucks you have to fire him. And with the loss of their dad recently, that isn't going to happen.

Take away the defensive TD and the broken play, the garbage time TD, and they had one good designed play all day. The Jets basically shut them down all day. If someone should get fired to save Rex's drive - it def. should have been the DC, but it is not like the OC seems to have a plan, nor did he adjust. Maybe Rex forcing his hand, but still not like they are an offensive machine.

Can we hire roman as a consultant and have him come out for the coin toss for the next buffalo game?  (Rexing it up the right way.)

I'd love to hire him as the QBs coach, the TEs coach, or both. I was only half kidding before. Give him some kind of fancy title and good money and get him to work with Petty and Hack. then get him a couple TEs to work with.

Every national writer is destroying Rex for this right now. They're not even pretending this was anything other than a submarine job.

The same national writers that were kissing his rotund ass when he was here, when he was fired when he was hired by Buffalo.  National writes are so far behind the curve on things like this.  They'd get a hell of a lot more info if they just visited fan forums to be honest.

An 0-2 start didn’t sit well with Buffalo Bills management.

That led to the sacrifice of Greg Roman as offensive coordinator.

Sporting News has learned that Buffalo’s front office leaned on head coach Rex Ryan to make a significant change in hopes of appeasing a disgruntled fan base. Thus, Roman was on the outs Friday following a 37-31 home loss to the New York Jets.

Anthony Lynn, a well-respected assistant coach, was announced as Roman’s replacement.

Roman, 44, helped the Bills field the NFL’s top rushing offense in 2015 and played a pivotal role in the development of quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who was recently rewarded with a six-year contract extension that could reach $92 million in value.

Ryan himself is feeling the heat after defeats against the Jets and Baltimore. Since the NFL adopted a 12-team playoff format in 1990, only 12 percent of teams that started 0-2 reached the postseason.

The Bills haven’t reached the playoffs since the 1999 campaign.

A defensive specialist, Ryan blamed the unit for the shortcomings against the Jets.

“Their offense against our defense,  it  looked  like  a mismatch today,” said Ryan, whose team surrendered 374 passing yards and one touchdown to Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. “You look for a difference in the game, that was the difference in the game.”

Buffalo’s next contest is Sept. 25 at home against Arizona followed by a road trip to New England. The Cardinals and Patriots were both finalists in last season’s conference championship games.

Roman, who received head-coaching consideration while serving as San Francisco’s offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2014, established the type of ground-based, ball-control attack Ryan was seeking when becoming head coach last year. At the same time, Roman helped the Bills field a big-play element as well.

As noted by ESPN, Buffalo’s offense was 8th in the NFL in yards per play and 10th in 20-yard plays since the start of the 2015 season.

Roman is believed to have one year left on his Bills contract.

Sports and political media are ****ed solid because the expiration date on their mainstream content is so incredibly finite that every article they produce needs to hit, or else some other 22-year old dickweed coming out of j-school who knows how to embed a gif is going to steal their job. They could care less about the integrity of any given piece as long as it gets eyeballs. So that's why fanbases get to have Rex destroy their franchises and we're going to let a Cheeto Monster destroy the continent. Because clicks.

They're killing him at the local level too. Not to be nitpicky, I just don't want to leave any of the torchbearers out.

We should be so lucky as to have some cantankerous old guys cover our sports teams honestly and without regard for web traffic. It's the one thing I liked about loving upstate.

Oh, I mean every local beat-writer across the league, for damn-near every team I'm poked around at on Twitter, is calling bullsh*t on Ryan. Even though they don't cover the Bills. I'm sure the local Bills writers are roasting him too.

Manish is probably putting together a nice fluff piece though, with leaked info damning Roman.

BREAKING: Anonymous sources yet again claim Rex Ryan was victimized by unnamed forces in management who made him fire a guy. Again, not Rex's fault.

What a despicable piece of sh*t. Marvez should know better. All he has to do is go back and look at every Manish article after every firing the Jets made during Rex's time here. Same ******* thing: firing>>backlash>>anonymous source absolves Rex.
