Darnold has no protection, since Bills are protecting against the run, Bell can't go anywhere. Jets have built up no momentum and can't move the ball. When they get sorta close the kicker can't kick. Buffalo D is pretty solid. We need to protect Sam better. Not only are we getting him a clean pocket maybe 1 out of every 5 drop backs, we can't create too many lanes for Bell. Yes, Gase has to be creative but with the Buffalo pass rush you just know that they're expecting quick routes, outs and dump offs and Bell is covered tight out of the backfield. Buffalo CBs only need to cover for like 2 seconds. It starts up front as always. Protect Sam. Buffalo has a Top 10 D. We're only in this game because of some opportunistic Defense by the Jets. Rangers9 Posted September 8, 2019 Share Posted September 8, 2019 Look you don’t go into a season with an inexperienced kicker no NFL game days coming off a bad pre-season who’s never even kicked at Met Life which one of the tougher stadiums in the NFL with winds. He’s a practice squad guy you need someone with accuracy esp for a team who might be in close games. This is on Douglas who should have done a better job in camp getting ready for this.
