Opportunity for the players to get some live action. If you’re on the end of the bench and don’t get a lot of burn,  you’d rather that then dribbling the clock out. But if you are going to press you have to expect that other team to counter as well, regardless of time left.

No goal post are being moved. Juwan Howard almost got himself fired, or as you like to call it "canceled," for starting that brawl. Make no mistake Juwan Howard was directly responsible for escalating a simple misunderstanding into a brawl. This wasn't his first time blowing his top - . The "South Sider" has made some really poor decisions on the court, and he's lucky he kept his job after his most recent transgression as head coach of Michigan men's basketball. Notice how Greg Gard never got suspended? Notice how Wisconsin's athletic director Chris McIntosh offered his “complete support” to the Wisconsin basketball coaches and players. He added that the Wisconsin athletic department will pay the $10,000 fine Gard incurred from the Big Ten, calling it a “Wisconsin fine” and not a “Greg Gard fine.” You think Michigan's Athletic director Warde Manuel is going to offer the same kind of support for Juwan Howard? You think Howard's $40,000 fine is a "Michigan fine"? Yeah right.
