The purposeful "tank" ended vs Wash. This is just a flailing franchise with zero plan, strategy, short and long term goals, understanding of roster management, talent evaluation, or sense of urgency.

Figured I'd post this here so everyone understands what's on the line today:

At 6-10, the Jets currently hold the eighth spot. If they beat the New England Patriots, and the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings (all 7-9) lose, the Jets probably will drop to 11th, possibly 12th, based on the strength-of-schedule tiebreaker. Those teams, with the exception of the Vikings, have played significantly easier schedules than the Jets. That hurts the Jets in a tiebreaker situation.

If the Jets lose, and the New York Giants, Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans (all 5-11) win, they could jump as high as fifth -- albeit unlikely

There is never a payoff with this team. On the occasions they got in the AFC title game, they blew up , spectacular failure every time. Kinda moved from anger to detachment and contempt.

And it will end this season with Bobby Saleh with his dyed beard jogging the Foxboro stands right about now rather than, I dunno, having a functioning offense going on 3 seasons? Nobody is even asking the question why this guy isn't worried about his job. When the team is on offense, Bobby is useless.  

My disgust with this ownership knows no bounds. Win a few games early in the season, hike ticket prices. Really, how the f___ do you keep trotting out incompetent defense 1st inexperienced NFL head coaches going on 3 decades?  Does Woody Johnson have a checkbook or a conscience? Do you ever get sick looking at the pile of turds you have wrought? Do you have a goddamn mirror, you Richie Rich spoiled brat ?

SELL THE TEAM, JOHNSON. YOU SUCK.

For what; 2 contractor bags with nickel deposit bottles? Wads of used medical tape? An infuriating pick , with the entire staff at Florham Park now pretending they didn't go out to BYU and gush like 13 year old girls at a Taylor Swift show at this midget in jogging shorts throwing some passes. If the Jets win:

We send BB off a loser in his final game as HC of the NEP and it's against the team he hates more than any other.

The Pats are in position to draft one of the top QBs in what is supposedly an excellent QB draft.  Or they can take MHJ or Alt if they so choose. 

The Pats get a better pick in not just the first round but all the other rounds too.  While the Jets' draft pick is worse in every round.

We get laughed at by Pats fans because we pulled "Mo Lewis part 2", giving them a better pick.  And big deal that we beat them this year.  This is their one down year in like 3 decades.  They've won 6 SBs but we're going to brag about winning one measly game?!

 

If the Jets lose:

BB ends his Patriots' career having beaten the Jets 16 straight times.

We get laughed at by Pats fans because they swept us in a season where they stunk (and they still finished in last place)

We get a better draft pick and the Pats could potentially lose out on a FQB (though who knows).

Here’s the thing. If a team wants to trade for Zach it’s going to go through Woody. Zach will be given his options and either accept the trade or stay with the team. If the team is not on the west coast the Jets won’t trade him. They’ll also accept lower compensation to get Zach to the destination of his choice. The situation is totally ****ed. Glazer via the Jets FO last year and this exact scenario. It’s happening again. The correct football move is to cut him outright and get him off the ledger completely, but when his options are the Bills or  Eagles, he’ll be back with the Jets and hope to hide as the backup.

Yes. Higgins would just die before he get paid a bunch of money and played 2-3 seasons with Rodgers as his QB. The Jets are a way more attractive destination than your averaged soured Jet fan would have you believe, especially in the near future. But we can start those conversations in a couple months

There's really zero chance we don't get embarrassed by Belichick on his way out the door. You can see the Patriots are still playing hard, while the Jets gave up about 3 games ago. He will outcoach the Jets one last time.

sad part is it won't even matter. woody gonna run it back with coaches who said they didn't know Breece can catch the ball, lol. Like thats just completely embarrassing
