Unlike the rest of JetNation, I am "evidence-based".  I'll give you my predictions as soon as the upcoming season is over.

Only 10 teams last year scored less than 20 PPG, but ok.

Record:

11-6

Reasons for Hope: 

1. The QB Room (even if Rodgers gets hurt, Taylor is a legitimate QB2

2. The OL is vastly improved

3. The Defense

The team has gone 7-10 the past 2 seasons despite the worst QB & OL play in NFL history. They should be able to win 3 more games.

Reasons It’ll Go To sh*t:

1. Both Rodgers & Taylor get hurt

2. The OL is ravaged by injury

3. Saleh will blow a game or two because he's a meathead.

Ultimately, because it always does.

Hottest non-Jets take for this season in the NFL

Sam Darnold will make the Pro Bowl

There is so much Darnold love in this thread and so much Saleh hate. 

Prediction: by week 8 that flips. 

Darnold, while tough and talented, routinely throws easy INT’s to opponents. He’s always been that guy. Sure, he will hit JJ on some splash plays, but Darnold is, IMO, much closer to Jameis or Fitzy than he is to a reliable starter. 

The Saleh hate, I get it if you’re into that whole “you are what your record blah blah” stuff. But that was a different era with different rules. In today’s game? If you’re trotting out Zach Wilson every week, you’re not gonna have a good record. Saleh has known this, which is why he benched that dude every season.

1) 10-7 with a hot-ish finish

2) - easier schedule with a lot of home games down the stretch, a chance to heat up for the playoffs 

- a QB who is, if nothing else, has football IQ and an offense most of the team is familiar with

- better depth than this team may have ever had in my lifetime

3) - still MetLife turf, still an OL group that feels difficult to rely on, still a 40yo QB coming off an injury that ends most careers

- Nathaniel Hackett is absolutely pathetic without Rodgers 

- this team has been cursed since Joe Namath 

4) Jordan Love suffers a sophomore slump and the Packers miss the playoffs or exit in ugly fashion WC weekend. The falcons put it all together and become playoff competitive

how many did the jets score?  i think around 17 and they've been there for about 5 seasons.  remember the question is how it goes to sh*t and the answer, imo, is if they don't score more than 24 per game.

I also dont want to root against the jets but if I did bet it would be at 6.5 to 1 not 2-1 

Why do I feel only 6 wins

Arod is 40 coming off a terrible injury, plays on terrible turf, plays 3 games in 10 days and has a suspect online-Taylor is an injury waiting to happen as well

M Williams is coming off a major injury as well-I have no confidence he will be the Mike Williams we saw with the Chargers(when healthy) and last year we had no viable WR2 or W3

I think we have a terrible coach

I hope I am wrong on the above but I have seen this movie already just last year.
