To those fans who were at the game

It was very loud throughout, louder than any other game this year I'd say. However, the crowd sucked late in the game. A lot of people left when the game was 20-14 and even more when it was just 26-14 with a few minutes left. Stay there and cheer for your team until no time remains or at least until Cincy is down 12 with 11 seconds to go and 30 yards from the endzone. :)

I didnt go today, but people on the board were complaining saying they couldnt hear the crowd on the TV. I usaully dont focus on the noise on TV, but board members said it was too quiet. but hey it sounds a lot different on TV

People on the board who talk about no crowd noise need to STFU and actually fork over some $ and come to a game. Something is obviously f'd up with the Meadowlands speakers, or they just lower the crowd noise, because the fans were making a lot of noise.

I thought the crowd was pretty damn good today. We were gettin good and loud on Cincy's 3rd downs and I was standing up all the time yelling and screaming that's for sure. A lotta people did leave after it was 26-14 but to be fair they didn't miss much after that happened. Idk why people would leave at 20-14 but I guess that's called "beat the traffic."

And the J-E-T-S chants today were great and there was a bunch of them.

I agree Joe. That really really pissed me off.

The fact that the Jet fans leave early in the 4th quarter has been going on for decades.

It's like a culture at this point. The only time I've seen it different has been at

some playoff games.

But that it was loud during the game as mentioned above by those who were there

is at least satisfying.

I really can't blame people for leaving early. The lines for the buses are out of control. The parking lot is very hard to get out of right after the game.

Until some of those things are fixed, people are going to want to leave early. Hopefully the new mass transit helps in 2010.

well that is weird...I thought the crowd was lame at best....and the empty seats in week 6??? such a great fan base the Jets have

I agree, I watched the game and the crowd was pretty lame! I even mentioned it in the game thread about the lack of enthusiasm. Even when we scored a touchdown they werent very loud.

today was a god damn joke when it came to the fans...most were more interested in the paper airplane olympics

Thats for sure. I'm waiting for someone to lose an eye that way. Waiting for it.

The people sitting next to me & BP in 124 were literally, and this is no exaggeration, were getting up every god damn 5 minutes to smoke or get a beer or jerkoff or whatever. Ridiculous. You're at a Football game. Sit in your ****ing seat and watch the game. Want to get a beer once a quarter? Fine. **** off to these people who can't stay in their seats at a game.

And they wouldn't even wait until a play was over. Favre is under center and the guy wants me to get up. I said ''no, wait until the play is over''. and he said ''ok''. we have some dumbass fans.

That is not correct. When there were 12 minutes left anf the score was 20-14, with the game in the balance, people were streaming for the exits like a bomb threat had just been called in. There was jam of people waiting to get into the aisle and up the steps in my section. Are these people "Real Fans" as we like to say here. The game was in the balance at that point with the Jets up by only 6 and I can make no excuses for the a-holes that were more concerned with getting home, than the outcome of the game. Stay the eff home next time and yes, gove your tickets to a REAL FAN, who actually cares more about the outcome of the game than the traffic on the turnpike or the GWB. It's sickening, it really is.

Average crowd at best, no shows were unbelievable considering Brett and team in contention. Throw in a beautiful weather day and Im dumbfounded. People had tickets they were giving away @ the gates. A lot more females than normal in my section. And I second the airplane comments. A lot of simpletons. COuldnt believe it, we are up 6 and a big third down on defense, 4 idiots stand up looking the opposite way rooting for a plane!

That was a big issue for me when I had tickets as I had the the aisle seat.People who were much closer to the other side chose to exit my way. They would do it at crucial times.I never said a word until the 1 game the NYJETS were on the goal line and they started coming towards the end.I stood up and said sit down until the play is over. Surrounding fans cheered and said its about time someone said something.Courtesy it just doesnt happen much anymore anywhere.

Too many fans sit on their hands...In some stadiums the place is rockin almost every down..Seems like a lot of people are there just to be there without much concern for what actually is happening on the field..Thats`why the games in Dec are much better because more diehard fans`get their hands on tickets because the fair weather schmucks stay home..No matter when you leave traffic is backed up on the GW now, so where you going?..I think some people leave early to go back to tailgating which is even more absurd...I sat in some traffic yesterday,,big deal..listen to the post game and relax..

I went. Had fun. Stayed until the end. Crowd was into it, but still too many dummies playing with paper airplanes, cheering on crucial 3rd down and goal instead of silence, fleeing the stadium early, and complete lack of understanding of football and its rules.

And now Im stranded in Ct. since my car broke down on the way home last night.

So everyone can kiss my ass.

What a conundrum...

When the PSLs hit, the real fans will be disenfranchised and the stadium will be 70% filled with 'fans' who don't make noise, who spend little time in their seats, and are not 'real fans'. But, right now, according to everyone, the 'real fans' don't show up to fill the stadium, who arrive midway through the 1st, who spend little time in their seats, and don't make enough noise.

Exactly. Our current fans suck.

Our future fans will suck.

Bottom line: Fans that leave early with the best part of the game still to come are not real fans as far as I am concerned. That includes a good portion of our current fan base and will be much the same, post PSL's. I would be freaking out if someone forced me to leave a game where the outcome is in doubt. These people must leave a good mystery movie just before finding out who the killer is.

Not that I don't agree, but even when the Bengals were up 7-0, this game was never in doubt.
