4HCrew
The guy brings depth and leadership to a young secondary, not a bad move. Maybe Feely got cut because Nuge is ready? or maybe Nuge is not ready and could IRed?

124
Who will the Jets cut? Backup OL or DB? Feely? Nugent? And will Law wear #24 with Revis swtiching to 22 or will Law wear #22? Nobody is going to wear #28, never.

drago
IDK, but I would cut Drew Coleman that's how i see it shaking out. Not sure if they'll cut coleman but he is going to be the one losing playing time. Law may only see time in the nickle but as someone mentioned before, Coleman is not an NFL player. abyzmul
before yesterday's game SNY had that pre-game show and they had a segment with Rhodes and revis and Elam (I'm sure D-Lo was there too) in somebody's apt. doing homework together-on the leather couch, watching film, taking notes...how great would it be for them to have Ty Law in that room with them all for the next 10 games or so.... TRIVIA TIME: Who holds the record for INTs in a Jets season? I hope you're right. Ty Law had to be separated in the classroom from Justin Miller because they were cutting up too much during Camp Herm. I find it hard to imagine Law will be a huge benefit in the film room. On the praqctive field, maybe.

On the praqctive field, maybe. this is a different situation byz...Herm was the HC...the team totally sucked and the other factor is Law KNOW Revis looks up to him-that means something when somebody idolizes you-you do NOT let them down in that way...you want to show that youngster that they are right in looking up to you ya know? 124
Definitely busting out my #24 Law jersey from the 2005 season to wear to the game on Thursday. Definitely. Even if its a -shivers- replica.
gsnts725
should be interesting ... i've always been a fan of Ty Law when he was in his prime... hopefully he can perform well next to Revis.
ZachEY
Does anyone remember if Law was the #1 or #2 in KC? I'm wondering because if his lack of success was at the #1 position, then we're ok. But if it was at the #2, this might not be at all beneficial.

shawn306
I can't see the Jets cutting anybody. The moment that guy is cut Belicheat would sign him and try to get what he can info wise from that person. Most likely someone is going to get IR'ed. Miller maybe, Nugent. Someone will. JonEJet
Funny stuff here If he had signed with the Cheats, they'd have loved it http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/180168-law-signs-jets.html
jetfan4hire
I dont think there is anyway they replace Lowery with Law. Law is also too slow to play nickelback at this point . I think this was a move to add depth to the FS position and as a 4th CB
rick34125
Law is well-schooled in the BB/Mangini defense. However, do not be suprised to see him play safety, NOT cb. He couldn't possibly be in "game shape" you know? If he is in for a significant number of snaps - advantage Pats. But I doubt Mangini is that silly. I'd look for mangini to be creative with Law and show Cassell some looks he's not ready for. At the same time I don't think he's fast enough to be matched up with Welker so it'll be interesting to see how he's used. It's interesting how Law put his signing with the Jets over the Pats. It sounds like he thinks the Jets have more upside this season .
ZachEY
You know, I'm wondering if, based on the Pats interest in DeAngelo Hall, the Jets didn't sign Ty Law for the sole purpose of keeping him off the Pats roster. Sort of a pre-emptive strike.
