I said it last week, this is to be expected if you really are paying attention. After all, its not Chad's fault that he can't play in the playoffs, because he only plays well enough to get there in even years, but by the time the playoffs actually start its an odd year. How the hell could anyone expect Chad to play well in an odd numbered year? Ridiculous!

I was with you on that man. I'm not a Chad apologist. The guy CANNOT get it done when it counts.

Rex Ryan produced the following:

  • 3 down lineman on 18 of 26 defensive snaps (69%)
  • 4 down lineman on 7 of 26 defensive snaps (27%)
  • 2 down lineman on 1 of 26 defensive snaps (4%)

  • Brought 4 or more defenders off the snap on 26 of 26 defensive snaps (100%)
  • Brought 5 or more defenders off the snap on 14 of 26 defensive snaps (54%)
  • Brought 6 or more defenders off the snap on 6 of 26 defensive snaps (23%)
  • Brought 7 or more defenders off the snap on 2 of 26 defensive snaps (8%)

This only produced 1 sack but it produced a ton of pressure and 2 INTs off of hurried throws.

Second Half

  • 3 down lineman on 11 of 36 defensive snaps (31%)
  • 4 down lineman on 13 of 36 defensive snaps (39%)
  • 2 down lineman on 11 of 36 defensive snaps (31%)

  • Brought 4 or more defenders off the snap on 33 of 36 defensive snaps (92%)
  • Brought 5 or more defenders off the snap on 14 of 36 defensive snaps (39%)
  • Brought 6 or more defenders off the snap on 3 of 36 defensive snaps (8%)
  • Brought 7 or more defenders off the snap on 0 of 36 defensive snaps (0%)

This produced 2 more sacks and and 2 more interceptions.

Overall

  • 3 down lineman on 29 of 62 defensive snaps (47%)
  • 4 down lineman on 21 of 62 defensive snaps (34%)
  • 2 down lineman on 12 of 62 defensive snaps (19%)

  • Brought 4 or more defenders off the snap on 59 of 62 defensive snaps (95%)
  • Brought 5 or more defenders off the snap on 28 of 62 defensive snaps (45%)
  • Brought 6 or more defenders off the snap on 9 of 62 defensive snaps (15%)
  • Brought 7 or more defenders off the snap on 2 of 62 defensive snaps (3%)

This produced 3 sacks, 4 INTs, and single digit points (9).

I would have LOVED to see our defense blitz on 45% of their defensive snaps this season. :bag:

my wife and son were looking at me like I was crazy b/c I was quacking during the post game hilights showing the 4 Chad INTs

Haha, nice.

I got a call from my dad a little while ago and he was on a flight so didn't see the game. I told him about Chad's 4 INTs and he responds so nonchalantly, "Well that's Chad for you." He was never nearly as down on Chad as I was, so to hear the complete lack of surprise from him really cracked me up.
