Alk
Asked if he bought the notion that Brady would say that if it were actually true, thereby killing their leverage in a Cassel trade, Alk said: "Yeah. I'm a huge mark." We are still talking about Football here and not professional wrestling right?

Patriots franchise Cassel. Immediately thereafter Brady announces he's ready for training camp today. Really try thinking about this one. You sure we're the ones that oughtta be trembling? That's not being optimistic, it's being ridiculous and like someone else said blind homerism. Ratliff has done nothing to suggest anything like beating Brady at the Meadowlands. Yes, you really should be the ones trembling. Does this possibly lower Cassel's value? Maybe...but not as much as you think. If there is a team out there desperate for a starting QB, they're still just as desperate for one with Brady back.

If there is a team out there desperate for a starting QB, they're still just as desperate for one with Brady back. True, but they are in a better position to bargain with the Patriots knowing the Patriots hand. It's like having a ****ty hand in poker, that ****ty hand is the same whether you know your opponents hands or not, however if you know their hand it completely changes the game. For example, the 49ers miss out on sanchez because a team trades up to the 9 spot and grabs him, they don't want to risk Freeman so they think about dealing for cassel. The patriots say they want a first , but the 9ers know that Brady just said he feels 100% and will start come day 1. This drastically lowers his value, because most teams know that the Pats do not want to have a 14 million dollar quarterback sitting on the bench. If there was a notion that Brady wouldn't be starting than yes, his value goes back up, but than they wouldn't be trading him. I think the fact that Brady said he's 100% really hurt the patriots. Mavrik
Patriots should hope that they are getting the Brady of old when he comes back. After that many operations on his knee and all the problems he's had with it over the last year, not a whole lot of people go back to being the way they were before the injury. He was never much of a mobile QB to begin with, not he's going to be even less so.

He had one surgery to repair the ligaments the rest of the procedures were just to clear out the infection and not actual surgeries.
