That's cause Shotty is actually calling intermediary throws and not asking Sanchez to do too much.

Yup. Sanchez has some ability, but they're typically asking him to be very good, which he is not.

It only happens if it was a dead ball foul after a first down was made. If it was 2nd down then yes it would have been 2nd and 25.

i dont get it either.if ben threw for 5 yards on first down and then the penalty happened,it would then be 2nd and 20 right?even tho it happened after the play

Like it or not, Shotty has had great playcalling today.

Still a few monumentally stupid moments, but A LOT more good than bad. That said, he has a tendency to do this... on occasions. The problem is there's zero consistency, and he's a lot more bad than good.
