In order to stick true to the source material, the way the Ape would have had to do that would give way too much of an advantage to those who had watched the show and would also venture into the territory of major spoilers. I just can't see him doing that at all. The cult thing is a little more likely I suppose since he could avoid those situations in that case, but given the timing of when from the show this is supposed to be based on I'm not sure it necessarily fits in. I'm not sure what to think of the fact that Pac seems to be selling these ideas so hard, particularly with nothing at all to even base that on, other than some random stuff from the show, which there's so many different characters and angles to play that I think it would be impossible to have any great idea of the setup just based on that without any more info to work off of. The fact that the stupid ape is not allowing character name goes to support my theory. My guess is he doesn't want us assuming innocence or guilt on name alone since there will be conversions. It's impossible to "stay true to the show" just like it was impossible for me to stay true to the movie when modding Scarface. Have you not mentioned it a number of times already? It's day one and you've already mentioned it repeatedly despite there being very little to base it on. Perhaps in the grand scheme of mafia you're not doing a hard-sell, but relatively speaking it's quite a push for day one. Doesn't mean you're scum, I just don't see any real basis for it at this point unless you have any additional information that the rest of us don't. In nearly every game we've played with a theme based on a very specific and limited set of characters we have had the rule of no character reveals. Because then all town has to do is lynch from the pool of people who claim duplicate characters or those people who revealed with really obscure characters. Makes it way too easy on the town. It's just that Pac has suggested it as a possibility and I simply don't think it fits the setup for a number of reasons I mentioned.
