jbone
This should put some more ice on the notion the Jets will use ANY draft pick on this kid. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d82895e07/article/vontaze-burfict-jayron-hosley-fail-drug-test-before-nfl-draft?module=HP11_headline_stack

flgreen
Think the guy is a lunatic, and won't make it thru camp, but I'd still use a 7th on him
BroadwayJ667
Adding matches to a bon fire. Its not going to make a difference to a stock that has hit rock bottom. Either the Jets or Ravens will take him. There is too much talent there. Hell Bill Parcells had him rated with a second round pick last night. BornJetsFan1983
we should draft this kid
Be_a_Jet
I must say. The only person I think that can straighten this kid out is Ray Lewis. He's been known to take his time out and make sure players like this walk a straight line and become better overall people and players. Having said that, I hope they don't draft him haha, I don't want a Vontaze Burfict at full potential in the AFC and not on the jets.
Greenseed4
Helllloooooo 5th round pick for the Jets. Seriously, if we leave this kid on the board entering the 6th round, we fail as an organization.

I remember reading how Erickson set up a meeting between Burfict and Lewis right before the kid started dropping off the map. Not sure when Ray Lewis became this monumental leader of men. I think that it has more to do with the skill level of Lewis and Reed keeping those guys in line and playing well.
CoachTsurfing
With all the extra 6th and 7th round selections, I'd take him with one of those.
JetsFanInDenver
Based on NFL drug policy shouldn't that be one strike against him already ? Any half way smart GM would not waste a draft pick on him. Tanny selects him in the 5th round.
