GREENBEAN
He was released from the Bengals today. I would think he'd come on the cheaper side. He is still effective and would be a solid contributor when considering our D line. Thoughts? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000333795/article/james-harrison-released-by-cincinnati-bengals
Integrity28
If we can use Pace, then I'm sure we'd find a way to use him.
TehFalcon63
Yes, because he's not a pussy and he actually hits.

If they're prices are comparable in any way, I would do it. And who knows what Barnes will do this season or if they are even planning on keeping him. JiFtheOracle
I'm pretty sure he's shot...but if Rex can find a way to use him...sure.
joewilly12
Rolando McClain is said to be trying to make a comeback or id rather have Wesley Woodyard from the Broncos.

JayKwaz
I would prefer Lamar Woodley if we were looking at OLB.
BroadwayJoe12
Would prefer to use Pace and Barnes in a rotation than Harrison, he was shot last year. Pace had a very solid season, but was not even remotely intended to play as many downs as he did. Pace, Barnes and I imagine a rookie, considering they didn't tender McIntyre, would suffice for the season.

stoicsentry
Sign Calvin Pace as the temporary starter. If we don't draft or sign anyone else, we'll survive. If we do, then Pace can be a very good backup and rotational player.

Agreed, which is why I think drafting someone this year and have them play in specific roles, while learning behind Pace and Barnes is the smart play. Il Mostro
36 years old. Pass. THIS. Harrison is done. Pace at least suits up, and he had a pretty good year without contract security -- funny how that works.

Anthony Barr instant NFL ready.
BroadwayJoe12
Anthony Barr instant NFL ready. Very few players are instant NFL ready. Barr's actually the opposite. He's played two or so years as an OLB, that's as far as instant ready as you can get. He's actually the ideal candidate to team with someone like Pace and Barnes for a year and work him in slowly on passing downs.

jgb
i don't know anything about what he has in the tank but it seems like a "last piece" type of signing, and we ain't nowhere near ready for those
New York Mick
It's a football team not a retirement home for ****sake. The Jets don't need to bring in every player that's at least 3 years past his prime.
eboozer
The Chargers are bringing back a versatile defender, agreeing to terms with linebacker Reggie Walker on a two-year contract, the club said Thursday night. Walker (6-0, 244) made four starts at outside linebacker and two starts at inside linebacker in 2013. The 27-year-old Walker appeared in all 16 games, notching 36 tackles and three sacks. Why didn't we bring in a young guy like this to develop??
HessStation
Anthony Barr instant NFL ready. Yes, the guy who was converted from RB to LB after his sophomore year is NFL ready.
