I seem to recall you insisting that Rex be retained at all costs, which resulted in Idzik, the only candidate willing to take the job with that condition attached, being hired. Rex's solution to this problem is...wait for it...pushups. Ive seen this in several threads. The false starts were by Breno and Colon. Veterans that Idzik acquired. Believe it or not, yelling at a vet doesn't lessen false starts. it might work for high school. These guys are penalty prone. that's not news. That's why they were on the market in the first place. The fact that they are in these games is because of Rex and his defense. Some coaches (like Chip Kelly) have no idea about the defense it's ok for a head coach to only be good at one thing. The most important thing a head coach does is set the tone. This team doesn't ever quit that's on the HC. HCs do a ton. They just don't play QB. When Marty draws up a screen, he doesn't expect a pick 6. That's one of the least likely outcomes. the fact is this is a 90 million dollar roster going against 120 and 130 million rosters, don't be surprised when they come up just short week in and week out.
