Integrity28
They add fuel to the misery fire we are all in You should read the article, not just the headline. The entire thing is based on a "source" who has a "long memory". In other words, it is made up.

#27TheDominator
Doesn't seem so crazy that the Pats and Jets would both like him. With Belichick, Parcells and Weiss there was a ton of cross-pollination on the staffs.
Smashmouth
If Tom Brady ever became a JET most people on this site would be making fun of him calling him a hack and laughing when anyone even remotely asked for him to get some playing time. In NE all the stars aligned perfectly for Brady to get Playing time and while he didn't make many mistakes early in his career he certainly was not lighting it up either Defense was the core of those SB teams and Brady was a game manager who played clutch when needed clutch is not foreseeable its something you have to hope a player possesses and Brady certainly does play clutch So IMHO if Brady was drafted by the NY Jets we would have never seen anything remotely close to what he's accomplished the last 14 years and his career would have been below JAG status as a matter of fact he may not have even seen the field like so many of our back ups

They did the same thing with Ratliff who seemed to have a nice pocket presence during the preseason . So instead of building on that the Jets gave him no chance but all the QB heroes on this site know better and will tell you Ratliff had no chance at all. I wonder how they could possibly know this since all they were working on were the samples we got in the pre season. Ratliff then went to Cleveland and anyone with a brain should have known there was NO WAY he was goijng to get a shot starting behind 2 first round draft picks with Mike Holmgren at the GM helm. I think he got a bum deal but hey who knows

SAR I
The only good that would have come from this is that Brady and New England never happens. He'd have never seen the light of day here. We held onto Testaverde too long, Pennington would have gotten his shot, Brady would have been Clemens 1.0, we'd have gotten no closer to a Super Bowl. The biggest tragedy in Jets history wasn't in 2000, it was in 2010. Rex Ryan blew it in Pittsburgh a year after the team should have learned the hard lesson in Indianapolis. They were unprepared, didn't get off the bus. This Brady crap pales in comparison. Back to back AFC Championship Games, we get blown out by a lesser opponent who we beat handily a few weeks earlier on the same field. Unforgivable. JerryK
This article would be compelling had I not passed math in the 3rd grade. Brady was taken in the 6th round. Every GM in the league passed him over...5 TIMES.
