The QB will often signal to the ref like what Brady did, asking him to reset the play clock. If the ref agrees, he will then make the same motion, and the time keeper will reset the game clock. Can we stick to complaining about times when they're *actually* cheating? There are plenty of those times without having to resort to this nonsense... They realized the penalty is so minimal (fines and draft picks) its worth the extra revenue of winning teams, SB wins etc etc. NFL would have to actually make the penalty equal or greater than the 'apple on the tree'. Team suspended 1st xx games of season, aka forfeits. Players coaches owners etc suspended full year. Loss of % of revenue sharing plan. Reduced roster size. Something other than crappy draft picks and pocket change fine for Kraft. It is worth it to them to cheat with comical penalties thrown at them.
