Jets-Bills final injury report: Cordy Glenn out, Sammy Watkins questionable

Here is the final injury report for Thursday's game between the Jets and Bills in Orchard Park, N.Y., plus what the injury statuses mean:

JETS

• Out: QB Bryce Petty (right shoulder)

• Doubtful: LB Jordan Jenkins (calf), CB Darryl Roberts (foot)

• Questionable: LB Bruce Carter (shoulder), LB David Harris (shoulder), DE Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle, toe)

BILLS

• Out: S Colt Anderson (foot), T Cordy Glenn (ankle)

• Questionable: TE Charles Clay (knee), TE Jim Dray (ankle), QB Cardale Jones (right shoulder), CB Kevon Seymour (hamstring), WR Sammy Watkins (foot), DT Jerel Worthy (knee)

WHAT IT MEANS

• For the Jets, Petty wasn't going to play anyway. Jets coach Todd Bowles already said Jenkins likely wouldn't play Thursday. Roberts is an end-of-roster reserve. Expect Harris and Wilkerson to play Thursday. They're on the "probable" end of the "questionable" designation. Bowles has said he's not concerned about Wilkerson's availability for Thursday. Carter is Harris' backup.

• For the Bills, Anderson is a reserve, but Glenn is the starting left tackle. His backup is Cyrus Kouandjio, a third-year pro with two career starts, both last season. It looks like Watkins will try to play through his sore, surgically repaired foot. We'll see how effective the star receiver will be.

Darryl Slater may be reached at dslater@njadvancemedia.com.

Source on #Bills WR Sammy Watkins' (foot) availability Thurs. night: "He wants to play but i'm not sure if the docs are going to let him."

Its a complicated situation in buffalo right now for the FO and the coaching staff. They are desperate to get into the playoffs and rex is on thin ice, but the team has had an un-ordinary amount of bad luck considering all of the injuries and suspensions they have suffered along with the brutal schedule they have to face this year.

If they sit Watkins its pointing to them giving rex a pass and turning this year into a development year for young players to get time. They will never come out and say that but it will be interesting to watch what they do.

God help the Jets if they lose this game. Hell, even if they win, people will still bitch and moan about Bowles, Fitz, Macc, Revis etc.

Worst fanbase in the NFL, maybe all of sports

Then, maybe you should leave a discussion board full of Jets fans.  Your holier than thou attitude will not be missed.  At all.

What?

If Jets fans change their attitude, we'll start to win?

Either that or they move. Jets care too much about PR because of the insane fanbase and they are the little brother to the Giants. If they went to a place where they were the only show in town, they wouldn't need to worry about being little brother and they could go about the business of buildings a winner.

I think the fan base is loyal. But they whine and complain a lot. The Fitz bashing this week has been to much for me. People are putting unrealistic expectations on him and then complaining when he doesn't reach the heights people have set for him.

This is a 34 year old journeyman we are talking about here. He is what he is. We talk about him being a game manager and then people get mad when he doesn't put the team on his back and carry them.

Why is it Rex teams always seem to be talking about bad luck?  When was the last time you heard the Pats talking about bad luck?

You can go to any teams forums and they bitch about their team and players too. It's called being a fan that cares, if we didn't care we wouldn't bother to bitch about anything.

Who was that other Buffalo mediocre Wr that owned Revis a few years back?  Can't remember his name,

haha. Stevie Johnson was a beast when we played the Bills. He could play like crap all season but this dude was the best player in football for some reason when he was lined up across from "the Island".

Valid point there! lol.

Last week the OL was adequate at least.  Arguably our skill players are among the best in the league.  Fitz was godawful last week and fwiw was ranked 28th worst qualifying QB.  That my friend is if far from game manager.  That is sux.

Disagree. He missed some throws but calling him awful is a stretch. He played well enough in that game to win. Our kicker blew it.
