Norv is a guy who is a great play caller, but lousy HC. No thanks.

joewilly12
Coughlin is a respectable knowledgable head coach sadly age has creeped on him. I would consider Tom Coughlin as the GM though

Pcola
Sure. Let's keep taking shortcuts and cutting corners. Looking at the schedule last April, you had to think this team could possibly be 1-5. 9-6 and 2-4 were possibilities but 1-5 was the most likely. But it's how the team has played that makes 1-5 that much more terrible. That said, the schedule coming is a little less daunting. If we lose to Balt, I think it's time to pay the price and to break it all up. Not saying GM or HC. Not saying Geno either. Changing HCs this early wastes the last two drafts. We took players that fit his scheme. It's one season too early for that. And taking on a dinosaur like Coughlin, we repeat 2014 all over again, using the win now at all costs at the detriment of the next 4 seasons. (Mariota over playing Sheldon at ILB). And Geno is not going to be a Jet next season. Regardless of if you play him or not. He is a pouty back up QB and will not be able to be on a team unless he is an obvious #2. Not a leader and not a good teammate. Last year did not humble him. He has this sense of entitlement that will have him out of the league by 2018. Go with Petty. Find out what we have. The worst thing that could happen is we have to roll the dice on a Kizer, Watson, or Trubinsky without knowing whether Petty is better than all of them. Look, at this point he couldn't be much worse than what we are seeing.

nyjbuddy
Perhaps some veteran coaches will also get fired this year: Sean Payton, Marvin Lewis, Jim Caldwell, John Fox. Joe W. Namath
Hiring coughlin is a terrible idea. The 2020 season needs to be marked on all of our calendars. If we do this rebuild right, that is the year we can become relavent again. Coughlin is a typical jets move that hinders us from properly rebuilding this roster.
