1. They actually like everyone that they interviewed 

2. Joe Douglas isn’t favoring any coach that wants to keep Darnold because of his contract situation and poor play (Joe will never admit this to anyone because he has to give the impression he’s doing what’s best for the team and not what’s most beneficial to his future) 
 

3. This coaching search could linger out because the team announced they will be “casting a wide net”

4. more surprising interviews will pop in the coming days

Depends on who they like / who wants the job. If daboll is the guy for example, they will have to wait until the bills exit the playoffs. If they like someone like saleh, could be soon. Sounds like the jets are going to look under every rock though....I feel like this will be dragged out. Jets need to get this right. With a blank canvas, a ton of cap space, and a lot of draft capital, the jets need to find the right guy that can get on the same page as JD.

Yup. My Bieniemy bet is very much predicated on skepticism that things have really changed at One Jets Drive. I hope to be proven wrong shortly.

One thing I'll mention about Saleh (who is a bit of a favorite of mine)..... If the Lions announce a HC hire and it is NOT Saleh, I think he goes to 5-1 for the Jets.
