Stanton is now a 220 hitter.   Rizzo has power, but is a 225 hitter.  Torres has fallen apart.  Donaldson hits 220,   IKF is a singles hitter, Dj is playing hurt, if Judge doesn't drvie in 3, they don't score much.

Cashman is obsessed with power hitters who hit for low average.  Friggin guy can’t stop obsessing over getting guys who bat in low .200’s who can “hit it into the short right porch”

So another league leading shutout vs a team who is bearing down on us for the division lead. TB will win this division Cashman destroyed the chemistry of this team, Signed all the wrong FA's made all the wrong trades at the break, and by all means should be fired at seasons end when a team going for a historical type season wont even win the division.

We are first in the Al East 4 games up.  The Sanchez trade has been amazing.  Higgy is a defensive beast and his batting average and offense are off the charts mahvelous

Rizzo, Stanton, Hicks, Torres — pick your poison

When the mddle of your lineup has 4 guys hitting .220 ---- your probably gonna struggle to score runs.

Cashman was given the blueprint of the 90's Yankees lineups and somehow didnt continue it.

And how's the Boone hire working out? Hugs still working?

Boone is not the problem, its the way this team is designed that fails. Its also Moronic when you trade a guy like Monty straight up for that waste of a uniform Bader who is nothing more than a late inning defensive replacement that can't even stay healthy in that role. Also letting JP Sears go was a crime he could have easily filled in for some of our injured relievers then moved into a starting role next year. I think the Yankees have now been shutout 12 times hell there's an outside chance a team with a historic record at the break may not even make the playoffs. The one single good thing Cashman did this offseason was getting rid of Sanchez something he should have done 4 years ago when teams were offering the best deals for him. This entire ordeal is very hard to watch unfold but I warned about this when we were on top of the world because this house of cards never really looked stable at all.

BALTIMORE -- Once again, rookie lefty JP Sears performed well and continued to progress with another quality start, but for the second straight outing, it did not end in a victory for the Athletics.

Sears ERA, 2.7    Montas, 7

Monty 5-0 for the Cards.

This may have been the WORST trade deadline in the history of baseball.   Side not, Oakland pitchers who come to NY do not have a good track record.

These trades and FA pickups were so bad it almost looks like Cashhole was sabotaging the team LOL

There is a part of me that hope this happens. Cashman has been skating by on past performance for way too long and maybe you need a catastrophe to happen in order for the organization to make some long overdue changes.

Im not sure Cashman has any past perfromance he took over the Team Gene Michael built that was unstoppable in the mid 90's all through the early 2000's he never added the right guy to make this team win more WS while other teams like Houston and the Dodgers routinely gobbled up FA 's while Cashman sat on his hands waiting for guys like A-Rod to win him a WS which we won 1 in 20+ years on a team with the biggest pay roll available in baseball. Cashman is a bum and needs to get shown the door and we need to once again bring in some true Yankees to run this team like Mattingly and Jeter guys who actually know WTF is going on.

Should the Yankees move on from Rizzo this offseason?

How?

He signed a 2 year, 32 million contract, and now has a bad back.  You would have a hard time trading him, and he is signed for 1 more year.  Yanks are also stuck with Donaldson at 21 million next year, with a 6 million buy out the year after.  Hicks, 3 more years at a total of 29.5 million.  Stanton 5 more at 150 million.

Cole, 6 more at 216.   I would strongly look at dealing him in the off season.  You can still get something for him, and get away from that contract before it becomes a terrible deal.   He has by in large pitched well, second in the Cy Young last year, leads the league in strikeout this year.

Volpe is playing well, now in AAA.   I move Torres, have Volpe become the new 2nd baseman.

Honestly, the team is going into a full on rebuild mode, like it or not.

This Yankee lineup right now, wow.  Get well soon guys. Nice sweep today though.

It hurts that the bench is made up of DJ and Stanton, neither of whom is actually able to play.

Just put DJ on the IL for 10 days.   He can't play right now.

Montas sucks

Nice trade Cashman, you freaking idiot.

Same schmuck GM who wouldnt trade Clint Frazier for Gerrit Cole in 2018. Or some middling prospects for Cliff Lee in 2010. Then after Frazier played well, they sent him to the minors because they picked up a .220 hitting Edwin Encarnacion who was 6 weeks away from retiring and then preceded to destroy any trade value and confidence in Frazier. Oh and they named him the starting left fielder last season and then benched him after 8 games. Nice Joey Gallo trade btw.

And if you notice, the Yankees dont draft high contact skill players. They consistently draft guys with big strikeout percentages.

Just a horribly run team from top to bottom.

Oh and nice job passing on Verlander 2x in the last 5 years.

What about Volpe?

Ironically, the only 1st rd pick recently who people were like "ehhh" about saying he lacked power etc on the day he was drafted.

Look at the rest of their drafts, esp the 1st rd. Its ugly. Goes back 20 years. They keep drafting "toolsy" guys who have bleh bat to ball skills.
