I wouldn’t go as far as saying he won the game for us. We shouldn’t have been in that position but for a team that provided no running game, no coaching, and zero offensive line help, he played good with what was given. It’s ridiculous to think otherwise.

Fact of the matter is, the only team that has a better passing defense than the Jets is the Cowboys, so I would be fine not talking about that one.

4 of the other teams have below average passing defenses, and the Broncos and Eagles are bottom six. Despite that, Zach Wilson still didn't perform well.

So yes, when you play a great defense the chances of the QB not playing well goes up. Zach Wilson is playing badly against bad defenses.

Lazzard is our 2.  At this point in his career he's a 4 and fighting to be on the game day roster.  This team has 2 legit players on O.  Hall and Wilson.  Hall averaged 1.4 per rush and dropped a couple of passes.

Patrick Mahomes was leading the league in interceptions until Jimmy G took his spot on Monday. Either way, it is undeniable that the Broncos have one of the worst passing defenses. That is a statistical fact. And just for sh*ts and giggles, let's just not include the Broncos. Wilson had a very similar game against the Eagles, who are also a bottom 6 passing defense. Why do we even need to do a comparison. The self proclaimed experts here have made their minds up from the day he was drafted , nothing short of a miraculous turnaround in his career is going to change that perception.  Why can't we just say the Jets won are 4-3 and still in playoff contention as Nov approaches and be happy with it.

We all expected a non-Rodgers offense to need to be carried by the defense, but requiring it to THIS extent?  Amazing that we have 4 wins right now.  We could easily be as bad as 1-6 or 0-7 right now if our defense was, say, ranked 10th in the league rather than top 5.

I do watch the games, and they are not a great run defense. I mean, the Giants weren't even passing and the Jets still allowed 200 rushing yards. This is an issue the Jets need to resolve. They are, however, a top 5 passing defense. Jets are also top 8 in points allowed, which is a more important stat than passing or rushing defense.

I don't blindly rely on them, I spend a lot of time watching the games and analyzing the statistics that come with it. Unlike you, who claims that the Broncos are a great defense because Mahomes threw 3 INTs against them.

Edit: Jets are top 6 in Points Allowed, not top 8.

I am not a Zach fan dude....But any QB in this league will look average with well-below-average line play.  And if you have to be Patrick Mahomes to look just average behind a well-below-average line, then 3/4 of the NFL starters aren't going to look very well.  We apparently remember that Super Bowl very differently. 

Zach is still not processing fast enough to hit the short window when guys are open.  THAT is the NFL.  But for most of the people to be shredding him as they are, given we are doing that thing again where we are on the 4th/5th starter for positions on the OL weekly (it seems), I will take 4-3 with victories over Buffalo and Philly (and almost KC if not for some spotty refereeing).
