This for real is an awful look for Reddick. Clearly he has too much pride to report. And his agency is done. Not even sure who agrees to be his agent now with this holdout still ongoing. Any smart agent would tell him to report asap. You’re losing a million each week.

This hasn’t been a great look for the Jets either.

If his agent is quitting. How’s that a bad look for us? Reports are that Reddick is set on just what he wants. So the issue the agent has is with Reddick not us.

Another Joe Douglas special.

Green Bay hates rodgers and is desperate get rid of him, no one else wants him, Joey D steps up gets fleeced and does the packers a huge favor.

Eagles have a malcontent edge rusher who is going to hold out, No one else wants him, Joe Douglas to the rescue.

Next up is Davante Adams, sitting out and the Raiders are desperate to get rid of him.

Up rides Joe Douglas on his steed and his lance with Sancho Panza on his burrow beside him to save the raiders from their problem and hand them gifts to boot.

No need to worry the bills are getting Adams.  What a bullet to dodge

We’re the ones who traded a 3rd for a guy who hasn’t shown up, said he wants to be traded, and have nothing to show for it.

Him being an idiot doesn’t mean the Jets are the geniuses here.

What a buffoon. On verge of losing 15M to hold out and 'possibly' get a 3-4 year contract of 18-20M BUT will have tarnished his image and lost valuable consistent play time and there is no guarantee any team would fork up that kind of money for him. See Levon Bell. See Levon Bell holdout. See Levon Bell get screwed. See Jets dumb enough to sign Levon. See Levon's skill set drastically impaired by his holdout.  See Levon STILL lose countless millions for holding out.  Maybe Reddick can sign Levon as his agent now.

Fleeced?  Lol.

They gave up a 2nd round pick in successive years, and pay him as an average starter on an annual basis.

Second round picks have roughly a 33% chance turning into an average starter.

So the Jets gave up less than a solid starter to trade for Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah- they got fleeced.  Smh!

What’s the verb you would use to describe the Deshaun Watson, Trey Lance and Russel Wilson trades?

The drama around here sometimes

Theres not a chance in hell the Jets hold on to him and dance this dance again next year.

I’m not referring to you in particular, but that’s “angry fan on a message board talk”.

i think the math works out to be week 13

Negative. It's actually week 9. A player normally earns an accrued season by being on the roster for 6 games. However, Reddick's holdout falls under a different set of rules in the CBA. When a player is holding out, the situation is governed by the contract tolling provision in Appendix A, Section 16 of the CBA. In this case, the player needs to be rostered for at least 50% of the season (which is 9 games) for that year to count, or the contract will "toll" into the next season.

So, the rule about 6 games applies to standard accrued seasons, but because of the holdout, the threshold is 9 games in Reddick's case, which is why he must report by Week 9 to avoid the tolling of his contract and to become a free agent next season.

I hope this clears up the confusion!

I read some weird stuff like this dad or him like cut someone out of a business deal, like sold a nursing home they owned but didn't pay out partners or something.

This whole time I thought he was getting and following bad advice but it might be he is just playing his own tune. And it sounds terrible

If by joe Douglas special you knew a completely unique and strange set of circumstances that defy all logic and have nothing to do with Joe Douglas.

This is just a player being very stupid and not doing what every indication said he would do.

I get it some people got to hate but Joe Douglas is the reason why we have a loaded roster and finally after years of trash have been rebuilt from the ground up.

Thankfully like the start of this season, your criticism won't age well or be remembered that much.

Why did Philly trade Reddick?

Injuries happen in the NFL.  Lawson, AVT, and and JJ also had Achilles injuries.

Maybe we should bring Zach back?

Lets see what Rodgers can do the rest of the year and if we can win the AFC East.   100% wasn’t happening with Zach.

The trade might not work out but to use the word fleeced is a bit over the top.

Thats the price it took to get Rodgers … and Will McDonald is on track for a much better NFL career than the Pittsburgh OT, who led all NFL OTs in sacks allowed this year while McDonald is tied for 2nd in sacks made.

The Jets are perennial losers for a lot of reasons but at least Rodgers gives us some hope, and that’s well worth the price of less than 1 NFL starter at a non QB position.

Lets start using some statistics and data around here.

Sure there is.

They will try to trade him, but if they can't get decent comp, they will absolutely dance this dance again if need be.

There is more drama about this amongst fans and the media. I honestly don't think this is having much of an impact inside the building at all.

Let him rot. Do not give in. It doesn't harm anyone or anything besides for Reddick.

This is what is going to happen with Reddick:

he will show up week 9

the Jets will pay him for 9 games.
he will win us a few games

he will sign as a FA with another team and get us a 3rd round comp pick in 2026.
the Jets will only owe the Eagles a 3rd round pick for him.
JD will get fired.
