REMEMBER FOLKS:

Going to the Super Bowl doesnt have to mean actually going to the super bowl. tickets are 2000 now and can go as high as +100,000. Once the teams are set expect those prices to double instantly. Super Bowl is more than just Sunday its like a week long extravaganza. Last Super Bowl in Miami there was so much going on. And you know there are going to be thousands of peeps tailgating everywhere and hell its Miami, you could probably stand outside the stadium with a portable TV and have a good time.

If that's true, how many can I buy now? Can't think of a better way to double your money in 7 days.

Get ready for a lot of smack talk. That city bleeds blue. I had little kids giving me $hit. :rl:

Downtown is the place to party. There are lots of clubs and bars within walking distance to Lucas Stadium.

Bring it on.

Just am ready for the game.

You don't luck your way into the AFC Championship, but you do need some luck along the way.

If there's one thing that's been proven, in any sport, it's that you have to have luck along the way to win a championship. You just have to. It's a necessary component. Any team that's ever won anything has had things bounce their way that could have just as easily gone the opposite route. The Pats lucked out that a 6th rounder wound up being a HOF'er in the rough, the Bulls were lucky that the Nets were that dumb, the Colts were lucky that Parcells wouldn't guarantee Peyton to go at 1, the Pistons were lucky that neither Orlando or Washington thought Ben Wallace would be any good, the Spurs were lucky that the ping-pong balls fell their way when Boston tanked their season, the Lakers were lucky that Donaghy ref'd that one Kings series....you can just go on and on. Along the way sh-t just has to fall the right way here and there, you might not notice it at the time but when you look back in hindsight, you realize that fate could have just as easily taken things in the other direction and you just thank God that it didn't.

Us?. We got lucky that Steve Bisciotti didn't want someone with Rex's personality being the face of the Ravens. We got lucky that Mangini didn't hold a grudge enough against Tannenbaum that he was willing to trade us the 5-slot for peanuts. We got lucky that Steve Spagnuolo interviews about as well for jobs as Paris Hilton probably does. We got lucky that the team collapsed last year (yeah, I said it). We got lucky that Carolina was willing to let us leapfrog Pittsburgh in April of 2007. We were lucky that the Colts went 14-0. And yes, we even got lucky that in week 16, every single team that had to lose for us to have a shot lost. That's straight up luck. And I love it. Bad luck has struck Jet fans enough over all the decades, I'd say we've earned some good fortune.

Every team, literally every team, in every sport, has had similar crap like the above paragraph happen to them along the way. That's how sports work. The reason that Jets fans, for the most part, might not agree with this is because things just never fall our way like this and the concept of fate aligning in our favor isn't something that happens. And, to tell you the truth, I don't see what the problem is in acknowledging that things have bounced our way, or getting pissed when fans of opposing teams point it out. Yes, we've gotten lucky. Who cares? Every team that wins has to get lucky.

Can't go.. In all the excitement i forgot about a big install this weekend at work, in fact, being able to be inebriated and watch the game uninterrupted relies on a process that is supposed to be done by noon actually being done and without any problems..

this sucks..

Just booked with Jets Vacations. Going to Indy!

Ah, to be young and have no responsibility.

I'm actually not being a sarcastic prick... I envy you. Work is ridiculously busy right now, my wife just tore her ACL, and I just smacked up my truck on Friday... my deductible would cover the trip.

Anyhow, enjoy!

Is she white, gritty, and revered in Boston?

Thanks dude, I'm looking foward to it.

Going to be a good amount of Jet fans in Indy I think. Just glad I can be one of the many.

The ball bounced his way. How many other times would it have hit the ground?

Also, Kaeding missing 2 easy FG's when hes been money all year.

The lucky bounces are going NY's way.

Do you mean lucky bounces like the Chargers recovering the Rivers fumble and the kickoff fumble?

A few people PMed me today asking about the bus trip. The company that was putting that together isn't offering a trip to Indy unfortunately.

I am not sure if I am going, but these guys emailed me just now and said if you book this trip to ask for the JetNation group rate.

Not sure how much of a discount it is, I think you save $25 per person.

This is actually not a bad deal. I am in Myrtle Beach golfing these next couple weeks, but thought about going to Indy after driving back from our home here to our home in NJ and then flying to Indy.. FLIGHTS WERE 600. Of course, on the news today (we get NY news here) IRA from Staten Island said he got his tickets for 179.

Game seats are going from 200-500 per on eBay...

No, luck has gone NY's way since the Indy game.

The Jets would have missed the playoffs if Manning stayed in.

maybe, maybe not. no one knows. odds are yes, but again, no one knows. he throws a pick, he gets nailed on a blitz, you just never know.

those saying that its 100% we lose if he stays in are usually those fans whose teams didnt get in or in your case, teams that couldnt move on.

There is no reason to take threads off topic (this is a thread about a playoff road trip). The schedule comes out in April, sit tight and then you can talk Patriots road trip all you want.
