See? Bats are coming along, Cespedes and Duda finding their swings again, pitching looked good again. Slumps can be good things if they happen at the right time.

Season is dunzo. Last 9 games should be dedicated to getting every as many ABs as possible. Give Plawecki, Lagares, and Cuddyer some starts along the way. Even Kirk and Johnson. Let Uribe get healthy and give Wright and Duda's backs a few days rest to be preemptive. And definitely limit Thor and deGrom in their last two starts.

Slumps happen to everyone.

The point was we missed a huge opportunity to secure HFA in the divisional series. I really want games one and two facing Kershaw and Greinke to be played in front of a raucous Citi Field crowd.

Not saying we can't win in LA but prefer our youngsters start their post season careers at home.

They didn't miss a huge opportunity. My point is the same, those 4 losses were going to happen. Whether last week, this week, or next week; spread out or clustered, they were going to happen. So what difference does it make? They were on a 19-4 run, expecting them to carry that for another 18 games entirely into the postseason is completely unreasonable. It's simply too high a win differential for any team to sustain for that long. Not happening. So they can either lose those games a couple weeks out, a week out, or the week leading up to the postseason. Which would you prefer?

Heard on the radio this morning Mets are 19 wins and 3 losses in last 22 road games- go figure

They've been the best road team in baseball since the Cespedes trade. Bizarre considering that up until that west coast trip right before the break they couldn't buy a win on the road. The fact that we're going to finish this season above .500 away is nuts.

Great season... Never even considered this possibility in April. These young pitchers, Mats and Thor, are so poised for their age. With the type of talent we have in

our SP, bullpen (7,8,9th only) and our hitters (Duda, Murphy red hot) anything can happen in a short series.

Now lets get ahead of the Dodgers!!
