THOP
Good. There should only be one Qb on this roster. When are we going to sign him?
Darrellegivesmeaboner#24
This is a win-win for all parties. I really was hoping to not have to see us carry 4 QBs...
AFJF
I'm guessing a conditional 6th/7th rounder?
flgreen
Probably a conditional 7th if he makes the team. That's a lot more then I thought they would. I wonder what happens to the $500,000 the Jets guaranteed? More then likely falls to the Colts if he makes the team. Makes the trade for Tebow just a 4th, instead of a 4th +

JetsFanInDenver
Best case scnario we swapped 7th round pick with the Colts. Worst case its a conditional pick!
Bleedin Green
Good to hear, I think this is best case scenario for all parties. Given the 1/2 mill the Jets handed him as a signing bonus, the Jets had absolutely no motivation to cut him outright and would have been foolish to do so. This way, Stanton got his wish and the Jets get something in return for their money spent. Granted it's not a huge deal or anything, as it's only a backup QB, but outside of the old draft and trade scenario, has a new player ever been traded away so quickly? Kind of crazy if you think about it.

Maxman
Agreed. I just wish they'd announce exactly what we got for him. Manish says it is Stanton and a 7th rounder to the Colts for a 6th rounder in return.
JetsFanInDenver
Manish says it is Stanton and a 7th rounder to the Colts for a 6th rounder in return. Thats a pretty sweet deal considering the circumstances. Dunno how many 6th round picks the COlts had but its only one than that should be at the top of the 6th round. Darrellegivesmeaboner#24
Is the 7th rounder that we added to the deal ours, or is it from the Lowery trade?
CrazyCarl40
So basically when it all shakes out it is: Tebow for a 4th and Drew Stanton? Meh.

CrazyCarl40
Manish Mehta @TheJetsStream To clarify, Jets gave up Stanton & 7th round pick that originally belonged to Jaguars for a 6th rd pick form Colts (org. belonged to Eagles)

RutgersJetFan
It's pretty sad that this is by far the best deal Tannenbaum's made in any form this offseason. Pouha's extension I guess ranks up there, but that's about it.

Bleedin Green
Manish says it is Stanton and a 7th rounder to the Colts for a 6th rounder in return. So essentially the Jets recouped the late round swap they made in the Tebow trade. Although assuming it's the Colts own 6th, they actually came out ahead of their original pick. Not the worst thing in the world considering the situation they put themselves in with this whole series of events.
