CrazyCarl40
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter As @RavensInsider insider reported, WR Anquan Boldin traded to 49ers for a sixth-round pick. WRs piling up in NFC West. Expand Collapse So, there's that.

CrazyCarl40
Boldin taking over for Moss means Kaepernick is going to be a boss next season and Crabtree has to be super happy too.
T0mShane
Kinda exciting to see two of the main alleged suitors for Revis being aggressive. Things could start moving along here.

SenorGato
Next on their wish list: Revis/Cromartie, hopefully. Very preemptive move on Boldin aging suddenly by the Ravens. Has he been getting hurt recently or something? I know he's taken a beating in his career, but I haven't really kept track of him in recent years. He flashed often enough during the playoffs. **** it, still a solid pickup by the 49ers to be the 4th or 5th pass catcher.

pedro55
Boldin wasn't going to take a pay cut. That was one of the main issues. But a 6th round pick? If he's healthy, this is one hell of a move.
jack48
Thanks for the SB and goodbye. Without this guy they just do not make it. He made some huge catches in post season. He caught balls that should not have been caught. But, football should not be sentimental.

#27TheDominator
$6M is a bunch of money, but the guy had over 20 catches for like 350 and 4 TDs in the postseason. 6 for 104 and a TD in the super bowl? That's the kind of day that got Branch and Holmes paid.
BroadwayJoe12
Boldin wasn't going to take a pay cut. That was one of the main issues. But a 6th round pick? If he's healthy, this is one hell of a move. Ehh, he's basically a slow version of Crabtree and Vernon Davis now. He is still a game and can be a factor in the playoffs, but it's not a move that will put the niners over the edge. They need someone to stretch the field vertically and unless their boy Jenkins develops, they're still going to need to find one.
#27TheDominator
Still probably an upgrade over Moss. Will Moss stick around? He isn't going to catch Rice or Gonzalez, but he can pass TO in yardage.
BurnleyJet
That 49ers side reminds me of the stacked S.F Teams of the late 80's and early 90's. They are so much better than the Jets on every level it's not funny.
pedro55
I think it might change how teams trade for Holmes. Seahawks and 49ers are two contenders, who else would spend so much on trading for Holmes? Harvis was overpaid with a first rounder, Bolding for a 6th round ? Crazy. Kind of means Holmes might be traded for a 4th rounder.

pedro55
The rich keep getting richer. Isn't that how it always works. Remember the Patriots stealing Moss from the Raiders, and so on. If the Jets were on their game, they'd have traded Holmes after Harvin got the Vikings a first round pick. By the time the Jets make any real moves, it seems they will wind up with 5th round picks, if that.
Skeet Ulrich
Good deal for all involved: Baltimore gets a pick for a guy they were going to cut, SF gets a very good possession WR for Kaepernick, Boldin gets his $$.

JetsFanInDenver
If Boldin is only worth a 6th, what the hell would Holmes be worth? But you forget Holmes is a Super Bowl MVP. So there's that!
pedro55
But you forget Holmes is a Super Bowl MVP. So there's that! Yeah in the 2009 super bowl. 9 Receptions, 131 Yards and 1 TD. Boldin had a great postseason and while he didn't win the MVP award, he had 6 Receptions, 104 Yards and 1 TD. Holmes, mostly due to being on the Jets and having Sanchez as a QB, hasn't been a one of those WRs who can catch 80 receptions. And remember, the Jets traded a 5th round pick for Holmes, only a year removed from that mVP award.

He got hurt early in the season but lets not forget he was pathetic b4 that!
