Does Rex Make It To Thanksgiving?

As head coach of the New York Football Jets? 1 and eight right now and it'll be one and nine by the time that we get to the bye week. That would be the perfect time to get rid of one little piggy as Bricktop would say and then continue on with Idziot's "assessment" and then sh!tcan him by New Years Day

The problem is this staff is pretty terrible. Who do you want to replace Rex the rest of the way? Idzik should be gone yesterday.

Marty is at least an offensive coach RS, Woody Johnson needs to get used to the idea that the NFL has changed and it no longer is the league where "Defense Wins Championships" not in a 16-20 game season-not anymore-it's all about passing and scoring and the owner has only had defensive guys as his HCing hires Groh, Edwards, Mangini and Ryan, it's about time that we get an offensive genius leading the team

The last two league champions won with defense.

Mornhinweg has experience leading bad teams to high draft picks, let him be interim HC for the year.

Fire Rex, Idzik, Bradway, and Bauer today. As in right now. Make Graves interim GM for the year.

Firing Rex before Thanksgiving accomplishes nothing, it might actually only benefit Rex and his health to be fired so early. Jets have said it's team policy to not make such decisions during the season. Firing Rex over the bye might completely backfire, it would be totally Jets to see an actual MUTINY occur with the players and the front office if Rex is canned in two weeks.

Interim make it more difficult to completely clean house at the end of the year. Let these guys kill the rest of the season, then replace them.

the one reason I want it to happen like this is because Woody Johnson is a coward. he will NOT sit up there in front of the Jets press and announce that he has fired BOTH the GM AND the head coach (which is what SHOULD really happen). We saw the same play unfold when he fired everybody 2 years ago, he had Rex left to sit up there with him, to pretty much deflect the criticism and field MOST of the questions. Woody Johnson is not a strong enough personality nor does he possess enough knowledge to come off as a legitimate football guy who deserves to own a team like the Jets, in the biggest market on the planet.

Yeah, but firing people mid-season gives you a head start on your candidate search.

Not to mention I want everyone gone now, just in case we "overachieve" like last year and end up doing something stupid, like bringing any of these clowns back.

You also need a good qb to win and make it through the playoffs plain and simple. It helps to have a good defense, but you also need to be able to score. The seahawks dropped 40+ points in the superbowl and the ravens and 49ers scored over 30 the previous year.

I agree. Doesn't mean you need an offensive coach. Neither winning coach was an offensive coach.
