He's a little crazy (or maybe more than a little!) about his sports teams (especially the Jets) but, imo, it's not manufactured. Benigno probably exemplified the call letters of that station (FAN) more than any other host on there. Remember that "fan" is short for fanatic. If Gase did say something bad about Darnold, it is incredibly stupid as Sam is a valuable asset that the Jets still have to trade. If Gase who is supposed to know Sam better than anyone said he isn't talented or something like that, he should be fired right now. It isn't like he is doing this job for the first time.
