really. he didnt have Moore go 6-67 yds and Crowder go 8-84 yds vs Cincy?

was Moore not there to catch 7 for 84 yds and 2 TDs vs Indy?

Davis went 5-93 yds vs Buffalo?

What did Davis and Moore do with White at QB besides put White in the Hall of Fame?

Boy you guys really fell head over heals in that Bengals game, huh?

Also, this doesn't address his point at all. The point was that Moore, Davis, and Crowder were all missing last Sunday

- Another day with no turnovers

- Kid has wheels on the ground

- No LG, RG, WR1, WR2, WR3

- Jags knew we had to run, and we ran it down their throat.

Not thrilled with the win but if you don't see progress, you aren't watching.

"Progress" for Zach is a pretty low bar.

He refuses to address this.  He thinks pointing to what Mike White did in a single game against Cincy with Davis, Moore, Crowder, and Cole is some sort of indictment about what Zach is supposed to do with Cole and a bunch of practice squad dudes.  Then refuses to accept that Mike White looked like trash and a half against Buffalo who knew exactly what he was going to do.

The last time Zach had everyone healthy was like week 5.

Progress means being better than what you've been previously.  Zach hasn't been very good this season.

Ahhh, ok. Right, but progress has to start somewhere.

Wilson had a terrible start to the season, highlighted by an alarmingly high interception rate and a particularly awful week 2 performance against NE in which he threw 4 picks. Since coming back from injury, he has 2 turnovers. That's progress - is it the end all be all? No. Does it mean he won't still be a bust? Nope. But it is significant progress. That's all people are saying.

You've got to give a 22 year old QB the chance to get better or what's the point of ever taking a QB number 2 overall?

Progress is better than what we've had in the last few decades. I don't care how crappy Zach has played, if he progresses, then that's better that whatever crap we've gotten in the past

Zach’s problems are that he bails from the pocket, plays break down, and he makes them a lot more difficult than they need to be. He makes his receivers look worse than they are and, unless he develops some pocket awareness, he will continue to do so.

Hmmm. Definitely hast to get better from the pocket. But there have also been games where he was running for his life most of the day (@Miami)

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve another season at a minimum.  But he has to show legit progress next year (rather than just "wow, he didn't throw an INT!")  He's a #2 OA pick.  He should be able to bring the goods.  His most yards passing so far is 297 followed by 258 and 226.

The progress I want to see is no hesitancy, good footwork, and throwing the easy passes right. It's clear from the past few games that once he pulls that off, everything else (Including INTs and TD passes) falls into place.

Agreed.

And I'm not telling you he has had a "good" rookie season or even a "decent" one. I'm just saying that with young players, you look for an upward trajectory and you look for mistakes to be corrected over time as they get experience. The other thing is, you have to see how they look after a full NFL offseason to reflect and improve upon their first rodeo.

I wasn't out on Sam until I saw that he didn't take an appreciable jump between years 1 and 2 and years 2 and 3. Rookie years are rookie years. Then there are other guys who had really good rookie years, who regressed back to the mean like Mayfield. Long way to go, fellas.

Zach Wilson needs five (5) more TDs to match Geno Smith’s total for TD passes as a rookie.

And Zach needs ten (10) [Note: the obligatory spelled out number and numeric number in parentheses] [why did you feel the need to do that][ we know “five” and what “5” means] more INTs to match Geno’s INT passes for a rookie.

You're not so good at this.

It’s absolutely incomprehensible to me that there are actual Jet fans here feting Geno Smith over Zach Wilson.

This narrative has jumped the shark, the African bush elephant, the giraffe,  the whale shark, the blue whale and the unicorn.

Well done JN, well done.

When we are twice as good next year and competing for a Super Bowl in 2023, half this board will probably be miserable because they wont be able to admit they were wrong that Douglas and Saleh had a patient plan that worked.

I feel bad for these people.

You guys remember when the big complaint when Darnold was here was how bad the receivers are, and it turns out he still sucks anyways, regardless of who he's throwing to?

Yeah.  Same deal with Wilson.

Btw, Wilson had Moore, Crowder, Cole, Berrios and Griffin Nov 28 against the Texans.  He threw for 145 yards.  The next week, he had all those guys plus Davis and threw for 226 yards on 38 attempts against the Eagles.

But, sure.  Weppinz.  JN really learned its lesson from past QB's, didn't we?

Wilson was fine against the eagles, but if people are using the weapinz excuse at this point next year with Wilson, I will be right there with you

Why is progress a low bar? It inherently means better than you once were.

Progress was how this entire team was going to be graded this year, not on wins and losses. Is player X better from game 1 to now?

Because when “the bar“ is “improving on bouncing a screen pass to Braxton Berrios”, it’s not an especially difficult task.

Weapons or no weapons, Wilson has caught on a bit better than Sam. The difference is in the decision making & not the excuses.
