The Jets are parting ways with running backs coach Taylor Embree after two years at the position for Gang Green.  The team has already met with former running back and running backs coach Duce Staley and intends to meet with Titans running backs coach Tony Dews.

The Jets are interviewing Tony Dews for their now-vacant RB-coach position, per colleague @TDavenport_NFL. Dews coached TEs last season for the #Titans, but he was their RBs coach prior to that. Former Panthers RBs coach Duce Staley also has been linked to the position. Taylor…

There was no known vacancy when the Staley’s name began to surface but that is clearly no longer the case as Connor Hughes reported.

Some fans may remember Embree as the coach former running back Michael Carter was seen screaming at on the sidelines earlier this year.

Wow, so a player is televised losing his sh!t with a coach and they both get canned.  What the hell does this even signify?  This team is a head scratcher.

Repeat of Moore / LaFleur?

"We're not here to take sides -- both of you have to go."

I'm not sure they can lure Duce here (he also is being courted by the Browns currently)  But he would be a great addition.  A guy that was getting HC chatter a year ago and is a rising name in the coaching ranks.  I think they would have to give him a pretty good title aside from just RB coach in order to land him personally.

How or why is Rob Calabrese still employed with this organization?! Coaches like Keith Carter rightfully take heat but Calabrese gets to fly under the radar.......its incredible...

And Embree was another one in a long list of inexperienced coaches on the offensive side of the ball......good riddance

With Brian Johnson leaving Philly, I’m wondering if the Jets would look to bring him in as QB coach after supposedly having a lot of interest in him last year.

I've been asking that question for the last two years. It's not clear what Calabrese actually adds to the coaching staff at all.

He's the QB coach, but they keep adding other guys to actually coach the passing game, so what does Calabrese actually do?

Saleh's offensive staff has often been truly offensive - a sign of a guy who lacks the profile to attract good coaches on that side of the ball.

100%

I'd be shocked if Saleh actually gets a coach like Duce Staley to come here......

Most coaches worth a damn know this is a sinking ship

In fairness, this crap may have been going on for weeks in practice and the both of them were put on notice to knock it off . When it was shown on live TV, that was it.

Duce to the Browns.

Not a shock - as soon as the Jets had competition from a playoff team, there was zero chance Duce was coming to NY.

Do you want to coach with Kevin Stefanksi or be under Nathaniel hackett?  Easy choice.
