Stop it....geez, one good game and he will be a consistent 15 sack guy? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

how many of those do we have in the entire league right now? consistent 15 sacks a year guys?  You might as well have called him the greatest sack artist of all time.

#hyperbole.

Let's give the kid at least a whole season before you go off the rails with predictions shall we?

They turned an UDFA Bryce Huff into a 10 sack guy. McDonald is twice the athlete he is and being groomed in the same system. This Jets team is going to have lots of leads this year with opposing teams going to pass late in games. Look at the video above to see how McDonald faired when Tennessee is in crunch time. He’s almost impossible to block and is a menace off the EDGE. Some of you guys are blind and can’t see what’s right in front of you. McDonald will be a pro bowler this year.

His pressure and sack % rate last year was very similar to that of Huff, he just didn't have the same volume of snaps to see how it played out on a bigger sample size.

Hoping he can keep it up, obviously. Teams will start to see how we are using him and adjust, so coaching staff need to keep on top of that and change it up if needed, if things slow down for him.

Listen man, I truly do hope you are right. Hell I hope you are so right that they pin my post to the top of the board because he is the best thing since sliced bread on the football field. I'm just saying thats a high bar to reach after such a short period of time.

Aren’t you the guy who placed the bet on the Jets going 17-0 this season?

McD's 3rd sack on the stat sheet was a real pass rush move win.

The 1st 2 were Will Levis taking forever to make a decision (a la Zach Wilson) and then doing something stupid.

Yes, this is true.

But if you look at the video from the OP, the first move - the spin move caused as much damage as a sack there - in a key spot.

The last one in the video looks like he was pretty badly held too.

On that final Titans' drive, McDonald did what the Eagles paid Huff to do. McDonald succeeded while Huff failed miserably. You could have looked past Huff's entire game had he just made a big play on Atlanta's final drive. That's why they gave him the bag 💰

this really is a great way to frame it.

both guys had one job to do to seal the win.  McDonald passed and Huff failed miserably.

It takes most linemen (either side of the ball) a year or two to grow into the performance levels of the NFL game.  The pure physical talent that allows someone like Will McDonald to dominate at the college level is somewhat neutralized by higher athletic and experience levels of NFL players.

He's on schedule.  His game is elevating to deal with the increased quality of competition.

Great to see.
