Emmitt spoke the truth

Emmitt on Monday Night Countdown criticized Pennington and his inability to stretch the field. Also commented on how to play defense against it. The fact that Chad still is able to make plays and win is pretty remarkable. Way to go CP!!

You know what, if Schotty cant find a way to beat a defense when they put nine men in the box, maybe he isnt such a hot OC after all. I'm just sayin'.

4H-

What were you thinking when the Jets traded up in the draft this year, and Brady Quinn was still sitting there?

:)

I think Darelle Revis is not going to be a disappointment and we really needed a Corner much more than we need a QB. I would have liked Brady Quinn, but Kelly Clemens looks as though he's going to be a really good #2. So, with the few draft picks we had I am pleased with the picks. I am especially pleased with David Harris. Pennington may not be the best, but he can move the chains and we can always keep our eyes open for a better QB when we have more to deal with and less needs at the other crucial positions:Nuts:.

Yep, that's why I am not buying into Emmitt's view, and those who go along with it.

The blind lemmings that are Chad-apologists are a sad and pathetic bunch.

You mean the view that you exploit your opponent's weakness and make them beat you? Yeah, that is a tried true method that almost always fails.

Why Emmitt is right:

Chad vs Top 10 scoring Ds: 7-19

-Good Ds take away your strengths and makes you beat them.

Chad vs Teams with winning records: 16-21

-Again, good teams take away your strengths and makes you beat them.

See a pattern?

Good teams beat Chad because they take away the run and dare him to beat them. And you expect that gimp to manage to win three playoff games in a row in the AFC? Fools.

I support mangini's decision as to who to play at QB as i have said numerous times. That doesnt make me a chad apologist, fool.

If they announced tomorrow that Clemens is the starter i will happily support that decision, fool.

I am realistic enough to believe that the CS is in a better position than I, or any message board poster is in to make that decision, including some patsy fan fools.

So an NFL player that has played the game for decades cannot make an informative opinion that is valid?

I call BS on that.

Anytime, someone on here says anything negative about the Jets and/or Chad, the inevitable "you are not a fan" or "you are stupid" is soon to follow.

Mangini is smart. He knows Chad better then anyone outside of the Jets' organization. However, it does not take a degree to see he is limited. I will buy into Emitt's opinion more then the likes of ecrub, BZ and you.

Jones is a nice pick-up, but your OL and he has not run a down yet. Just sayin'.

Our offense will be okay. One game in Preseason, does not a team make. While critizing the Jets, we all fail to take in consideration the Giants determination to be much better on defense this year. Regardless of the absence of Michael Strahan, they came out with defensive vengeance. The Giants were focusing on the Blitz and succeeded because the Jets were focusing more on reading and assessing a given situation and reacting and adjusting to it. Obviously the Jets fell short, but Shottenheimer will have the wrinkles ironed out before opening day September 9. Go Jets!:character0293:

Show me where I ever said that.

And YOU are not a fan of the Jets, so whatever you buy into is clearly skewed as a rival fan who does not like the Jets. Dont try to pretend

you are objective, and dont come in here with your condescending new england bullsh1t about blindness, because I support mangini, and you do not.

Why?

Actually, I can look at your team and be objective. I have nothing invested in them. I hope Chad stays. I know as long as he is QB, we have a leg up on the Jets.

Just like I would expect you to be able to look at my team and form an opinion and be objective.

Because

1- I dont get involved in discussions here about my opinions of your team

and

2- Even if i did, i wouldnt be calling you names in my posts.

But since you opened the door to that, all bets are off.

Yes, and you are a Jest fan and your view is clearly skewed as such especialy when your team is being critisized by a rival fan. I do thoroughly enjoy your condescending Manhattan Lawyer bullsh*t about being offended and enraged though. ;)

On the first play of the last game... with Jacob Bender (a I-AA tackle 6th round pick starting at Gaurd) starting... Thomas Jones OUT.... Chad Pennington dropped back... pump faked with pressure coming... then got a throw off 30+ yards IN THE AIR... right over the CB and in front of the safety to Leon Washington who then juked his way to a TD...

Call him what you want... but if teams stack guys in the box... Chad will look off or fake the CB and drop the ball just in front of the safety like he did... again... and again...

Chad threw the ball 30+ yards in the air the first play of the game... there isnt much else he can do to get the defense to back off... the rest is up to the Oline to block well... and TJ to get healthy and improve the play action threat...

30+ yards IN THE AIR is a measuring stick for people on this board. Not for a professional QB.

BTW, how was Chad's other 10 passes? How many yards did he gain? Did he hit Leon in stride?

Again, like last year, the big plays are more a result of the players making move after the catch then the QB making a play. Brady threw one 37 yards, but it looked like Stallworth had to make a play on the ball and not Brady 'burning' the D for 37 yards.
