I think it's pretty clear. There are some folks who, up until Sunday morning, seemed perfectly happy after spending many years and many thousands of posts at JI. But, when a handful of people left "never to return" (a couple of which had very valid reasons), all of sudden many people suddenly decided that they hated the place and had to leave permanently. I've had this discussion a few times. I post in both places because I have many friends at both sites but the herd or mob mentality was somewhat disappointing. Hence, my emphasis on the word "some". The reverse does not happen. There is really nothing worse that you can say about us that we don't already say to ourselves. We take the approach that we don't "OWN" posters. People have free will and will choose to post where they feel most comfortable. JetNation isn't for everyone and we respect that. Crazy concept I know. Crazy concept I know. I can understand why there may be some resentment between a few select posters...but the crazy Salem-like witch hunts for anyone who "defects" are too extreme. I feel as though people get comfortable posting on one site, and they feel like they build relationships with the other posters and start to feel a sense of ownership for it all. Then this girl came to NJ for a game and stopped by the wrong tailgate. She decided hanging out with Tony Siragusa was more important than meeting a powerful Webmaster. Anyhow, said Webmaster has been cranky ever since. Some say he never recovered from that day and has been banning people ever since. Maybe Bergen is right, and everyone should just move forward and not pay any attention to the ramifications of the weekend and instead enjoy the fact that so many people are here because of a genuine admiration for interacting with the few people who really felt they had to leave. Some people who've clipped 10,000 posts at JI and were seemingly happy on Sunday morning were here by Sunday night calling for JI to be burnt to the ground. Just disappointing because, as far as I could tell, they were simply following the crowd to a degree. It was a bit of a mob mentality. I'm the same person here as I am at JI. I write the same and have the same username, avatar, etc. I do that on purpose. While I'm surely disappointed with a lot of things that went down over there I've never personally had a problem at JI. I came to JN to keep in touch with several friends who have PM'd me and appreciate me being here knowing that they'll never return to JI, but that I've chosen to spend time at both places.
