Jetfan13
phinfreak Starter Lisfranc injury = Broken foot = Out for Season Yes, tons of speculation by the media and fans. Fans ask and say..."there hasnt been a report on his injury...no announcement....not diagnosed...." Fact is there wont be until after this game. Medical records are protected by law, patient privacy is a very significant violation punishable by jail time and large fines. All the medical information and literature indicates that IF RB has LF, the treatment, healing process, rehab, before being able to play would extend his abscense significantly...perhaps even for the year. Any, again, any significant foot injury is major. 10% of all broken bones occur in the foot. The foot has 26 bones. In most cases, major 'foot' injuries include a broken bone. The second fins released that this was a foot injury more than an ankle I knew it was bad for the above reasons. Absent of a radiological exam (which he has had), if the patient cannot take 4 consecutive steps at the moment immediately after the injury and AGAIN at time of physician or exam in the ED, it is usually a broken foot. The fact that he is going to a 'specialist' indicates that there is some opinion that requires surgery. Typically, a patient does not see a specialist for diagnosis and non invasive treatment. My educated guess to set realistic expectations with our fans is that he has a broken bone in his foot, he has been told the S word (surgery), and this effectively takes him out for the season. Differential is that he has a severe foot sprain with lots of soft tissue damage, but no fractures, this still will require extensive rehab, and time, which takes him out at least 4 weeks (miraculous) and probably 8 weeks. Any attempt at returning (especially in football) prematurely causes a 75% chance of re-aggravating the injury. And if that happens, he risks his entire career. We will have to get along without Ronnie Brown for a long time sorry to say.
HardKoreXXX
No shock here. The kid is injury prone and cannot take 275-325 in a season to save his life. He's been hurt significantly twice in his career. He's not injury prone.
RutgersJetFan
He's been hurt significantly twice in his career. He's not injury prone. 2 season-ending injuries in a 5-year career? Ironman he is not.
The Crusher
2 season-ending injuries in a 5-year career? Ironman he is not. Herman Edwards could had him out of the league in two seasons. Easy.
HardKoreXXX
2 season-ending injuries in a 5-year career? Ironman he is not. It's not yet confirmed that he's out for the year. His ACL injury was a fluke play. He was trying to make a tackle on an interception and got rolled up on. Running backs get hurt. This is the NFL. Brandon Jacobs is one of the biggest RB's in the history of the NFL and has been injured quite a bit. It's really a crap shoot.

ChrebetBoy
Per PFT http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/11/18/ronnie-brown-could-be-out-for-the-year/ Yes, ofically done! I know the Jets have already lost twice to them, but this could help them out for a wild card, fins not having one of there best players on the field. SMC
Damn shame. There's only one back in the league with more talent than Ronnie and he just can't stay healthy. RB is an amazing talent. But with his injury issues and age (29 next season), the Fins need to go in a different direction.
dolphann4life
RB is an amazing talent. But with his injury issues and age (29 next season), the Fins need to go in a different direction. i'm now concerned on how this will play out in the offseason with RB's contract expiring at the end of the year. I'm hoping he will be resigned at a cheaper price with him comming off a season ending injury. Now if he wants to be the highest paid back in the league, as much as i want Brown to stay a Miami Dolphin you might have to let him walk.

You're a miserable, crazy, overweight POS who has no idea what class is. seriously, go Phuck yourself, ass hole. In case it's lost on you, Ronnie Brown won't play the Jets again this year. It could have been very easy for you to say "sucks for him, wish him a full rehab", but instead you gloat about an injury to a guy who won't even play the Jets again this year. You sir, are a **** sucker.
