The rain was a factor but some of those passes were on the money. Gotta make a play. Offensive play calling was balanced, but could have ran it more.

They were dropping passes before the rain even started.  Aside from Holmes, our receivers are hot garbage. Dropped passes. Stephen Hill running with the ball like it's his lunch bag and he's trying to catch the school bus.  Just horrible.

Last night made me really appreciate guys like Wayne Chrebet and Cotch.  Guys who weren't fast, but still found ways to get open, and caught EVERYTHING that was thrown to them.

This fvcking guy is so fvcking bad.  Drop his ass and sign braylon.  Sorry ass mother fvcker.  Only receiving corp worse than ours is the pasts but at least they have a couple of guys that are hurt.  we missed kerley last night .  good to see tone get a little rust off of him but he cant catch the damn ball for the other guys.  we had them and we let them off the hook...

Here are some available free agent WR's:

Braylon Edwards

Steve Breaston

Austin Collie

Laurent Robinson

Devery Henderson

Deion Branch

Early Doucet

Mohammed Massaquoi

I know the Jets already had Edwards and Massaquoi during training camp and they gave tryouts to Robinson and Collie. There has to be someone on this list or maybe someone that I'm forgetting who would be a better addition than Gates.

And even if Cotch and Chrebet weren't burners, they were GREAT after the catch making yardage. Coles too.

They have to do something. Have to send a message this crap isn't tolerable. You're a receiver, your job is to catch the ball. Dropping that TD and the long pass that he decided to catch with his shoulder really hurt the team and he had at least 3 other drops.

Rex isn't Tom Coughlin nothing will be done. He pacifies his  players. He may even be out adding a Clyde Gates tattoo.

Why is this guy on the team?  There has to be a Free Agent WR out there who the Jets can sign to replace him.  Maybe someone who can actually catch??

Rex kept Gates and dropped Braylon Edwards because Gates is Rex's kind of guy, which is basically an underachiever who drops catchable balls routinely and is NEVER called on it. Rex is a glorified HC - he really is a solid DC, but doesn't even have a clue what is going on offensively. He admitted in his post game press conference that he didn't know how many balls they dropped. I bet Belichick does and he doesn't even coach the Jets. BB knows everything going on inside that stadium while Rex is concerned with ONE THING. The defense played well enough to win while the offense kept giving it back and yet Gates was out there series after series after series and here's another thing Jets fans. My guess is he'll be there next week too.

Clyde Gates caught two passes for 42 yards in New York's Week 2 loss to the Patriots.

Forced into heavy snaps — and eight targets — with Jeremy Kerley (concussion) sidelined, Gates turned in a brutal, drop-filled performance. It was the kind of night that makes you question (again) why he's still on an NFL roster. Gates won't make it through the year in New York if he continues to play like he did Thursday.

If we had Braylon Edwards we probably win that football game. Been saying Clyde Gates sucks for 2 years now and it does not seem to be getting better. Geno is going to deal with the same bullsh*t every Jets QB has dealt with for years, sh*t on the offensive side of the ball. Ansolute sh*t!!

No doubt Brayon Edwards is a game changer Clyde Gates is not. Damn you Rex and Idzik.
