Jetlife33
The Jets have signed WR Shane Wynn to the team’s practice squad, the team announced. To make room for Wynn, they cut FB/LB Julian Howsare. From the Jets: Wynn (5’6″, 167) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Atlanta in May. In June the Glenville, OH, native was acquired off waivers by the Browns. In the 2015 preseason, he had four receptions for 32 yards, including a 21-yard TD catch from Johnny Manziel, and also returned five punts and two kickoffs for Cleveland. He was a final cut by the Browns on Aug. 31.

shuler82
He was a good PR/KR in college. If Ridley is healthy, maybe they cut Stacey and bring this guy up..

Savage69
He was a good PR/KR in college. If Ridley is healthy, maybe they cut Stacey and bring this guy up.. Wynn's size (5-6, 167 pounds) likely scared many teams away from drafting him. It certainly wasn't his speed. He clocked a 4.29 40-yard dash at Indiana's pro day. He wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, and if he had run that time there, it would have been the second-fastest of any player. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2015/05/glenvilles_shane_wynn_signs_wi.html

I don't think they trade a pick for Stacy and then cut him. They still have to cut someone to get Milliner on the roster. I imagine Ben Ijalana is on the chopping block and Johnson when Mangold returns. Maybe Bowen since he gets zero playing time. I just don't see many cuttable players with all of the injuries the Jets have.

Maybe he can be that pass catcher out of the backfield we desperately need, Sproles is also 5'6" just for comparison.

Also he would need to wear drywall stilts so they see him coming. But then he might not get on & off the field in time. #dilemmas

Integrity28
Seriously though, it would be awesome if our FO approached this stuff like Beli does... where he brings in specific skillsets for a specific job. There was a whiney thread about "where did they find Dion Lewis" the other day... they didn't find him, they just matched his skillset to their system. It would be pretty awesome if a kid like this could come out of nowhere to give us some help in the return game, and to catch 3-4 passes out of the backfield every week. He's got the size, wiggle and speed to fit a role like that. Don't know if he's got the aptitude or durability.

JohnnyLV
Midget WR could be a good addition to our offense if he has any durability at all. Speaking of munchkins, anyone still get a little pissed every time you see Woodhead make another first down?

#27TheDominator
I like the idea of a return man that might provide some YAC. OTOH, if Kerley can't see the field how does this guy? Strange that he never got another look hen he made it to final cuts.
Lupz27
I'm sure this guy will float around on PS for a few years until someone gives Dion Lewis a Vereen type contract when he becomes an UFA, and the Pats will pick him up, and turn him into a house hold name. If Ridley is healthy, maybe they cut Stacey and bring this guy up.. ummm no. 1- kick returner is one of the least important positions anymore with the changes 2- Stacy is serviceable a RB especially as the 3rd down guy with Powell out. Wynn won't see the field besides returns.

House Jet
This guy looks electric. You see all the broken tackles? Shorter guys just have a lower center of gravity/better balance. He seems to have mastered ducking under tacklers as well. He's definitely faster than Kerley and seems more elusive as well so why shouldnt he get a shot as long as he earns it. Football minds look at size and see talent. They should just be looking for talent in any form.
