The Broncos lost TWO QB's this offseason.  Meaning they needed TWO new ones.  Sanchez is the backup.  Or do you people really think Elway is putting his franchise in the hands of Mark f*ckin Sanchez?

Sanchez and Fitz, it would be a dogfight for backup duties.

Sanchez will never be named a Week 1 starter again, outside of an injury, the rest of his career.  Fitzpatrick has been the starting QB on every single franchise he's arrived at.  There's a massive difference between the 2.

None the less Sanchize must be feeling pretty good right about now.  Good luck Mark, I would have rather have him over Geno (all other things being equal (wouldn't want to pay anything for him))

That part is true.  He gets to play for a quality org that currently doesn't know who their starter is.  He's one injury away from being carried to the postseason again by a great team.

The pendulum swing in regards to fan opinion on Fitzpatrick is just insane.

I think this is big. Why would you have Fitzpatrick and Sanchez on the same team. They are about the same QB. Neither is really better than the other .

Denver's going to roll with him

it still gives Denver options, they aren't married to mark but now they don't have to pay for journeyman Fitz or get held hostage for Kaep.

I can't wait for Fitz to be back here at a reasonable price and for him to come out and say "I always wanted to be here". Idiot.

Drop the offer to fitz to 7 mill a year.  He played the game and lost.  Put ur tail btwn ur legs and accept 7 mill a year snd lets go.

Wasn't it reported that we allegedly offered him something like 7 per?

Don't think this would prohibit them from also signing Fitz to compete for the starting gig. You don;t go into camp handing your starting QB job to Mark Sanchez. They'll sign a vet or draft someone to compete.

I think if anything it will embolden them to go after Kaep...Sanchez is a nice fall back options if Kaep implodes..

Why not? Mark Sanchez has shown that if you put a great defense around him he can play well enough to get to the AFCCG. What has Fitz shown in order to get the nod over Sanchez?

Asking for a raise, and then asking for 5 times what you were making for one decent year out of an entire career of mediocrity..that is the point. A raise is cool, demanding to go from the the janitor to the CEO isn't.

We don't know what Fitz is asking for.  We only know he didn't like being paid like a backup.  And why should he, when a scrub like Brock Osweiler is making almost 3 times that amount?

He's not greedy.  He's a starter.  And wants to be paid like one.

Sexton you have blown the Fitzpatrick situation just like you blew the Marrone situation in BUF.

Deal with it and accept the offer from the Jets

Hopefully Mac is lowering the offer with every QB signed.  Should put it around what?.. 5mil a year now?
