It can be argued this has been a full need-based draft, for all the idol worship & kookaid drinking about Maccagnan's alleged BAP religion. I don't even pretend to be a draft guru of any kind, but last obvious BAP pick was Leonard Williams last year.

this is totally a need draft.  no wr, no rb, no dt.  just no OL.

i'll give you they have enough guys at guard, esp. if harrison is ready to compete for a starting spot.  but where is the tackle depth?

they definitely drafted for need this draft.  every position they've drafted was a key need.  just ignored OL.  did they really need 2 lbs in the first 3 picks?

They like Brent Qvale (25).  Reportedly able to play left or right tackle.  At 6'6,317 he has the same size as both Clady and Giacomini.

Ben Ijalana (26) is no dud either, 6'6,324.  He was a former second-round pick of the Colts who has been Brick's backup for forever long now.  He might be ready to step into the lineup, maybe at RT.

And there are still free agent options, and potential trades.

ok, if the jets like these guys then that does make sense.  i hope they're serviceable.  no more brick.

We don't pick again until round 7, why does Mac have to go out and sign a bunch of FA's so we don't get any comp picks? Comp picks work for teams like Baltimore, Pitt, and NE

COME ON MAN

You're right.  That Marshall trade was horrible.

Is Mac considering trying to trade Geno for a 5th or a 6th. Imo he won't because it's possible he'll need Geno this year. Also it gives him leverage with Fitz unless he signs Hoyer. Elway said today that he will not be signing Hoyer.

they won't need geno.  he's not even going to be on the roster.  hackenberg is better already, at least he can run a pro system.

Not to mention that our offense just needs someone to sustain a block for however long it takes Brandon Marshall to run five yards down the field and turn around.  It's a quick-hit offense with occasional deep shots, and I envision a ton of RB dump offs this year.

Did you not see our offense last year!

By the time Hackenberg is ready to play, a majority of those guys will be long gone.

Marshall will most likely not be here after next season, Decker will be 30 by the start of next season, forte will be 31.

At least now they have a QB who can hit Devin Smith deep, and will be able to toss to jace in the middle of the field, but other than those two we have no young talent, except for maybe khiry and the jury is still out on him, if Enunwa develops hands we may be alright, but right now other than our old players we don't have jack sh*t.

Enunwa is a solid receiver. Had a nice year last year. Jets will have cap space in 2017-2018 to go after offensive talent. Harris will be gone, Wilk may be gone and Revis may be gone

true.  but since they addressed lb, qb and cb this year, they can focus more on wr and rb in next year's draft/FA.

We should be drafting our own offensive talent instead of going after 30 year old free agents.

Knowing the jets next year they will draft a defensive end with their first, no oline and no wide receivers.

Bowles interview on ESPN right now: (re:  going defense in the first round of draft)

"Well, we liked a lot of offensive guys in the draft, and some of them went off the board by the time we were ready to pick...so we took tried to take the best player available"

Offensive players taken before #20:

Jared Goff

Carson Wentz

Ezekiel Elliot

Ronnie Stanley

Jack Conklin

Laremy Tunsil

Corey Coleman

Taylor Decker

Ryan Kelly

To say that we liked A LOT of (the 9) offensive players drafted ahead of us, means we may have been leaning toward taking one of the 5 OL.

Well, Rappaport did say the Jets tired to trade up for Tunsil
