quietjets
I'd rather bring in a guy like Savage to be GM. Tannebaum can stay as cap specialist. We need a football guy in charge here not an accountant. Perhaps Mangini will be in charge of scouting and football operation... I think it is too much for Mangini right now but we will find out shortly.
GimmeShelter
If this move does not make it crystal clear who is calling all the shots in the Jets organization, then you guys are missing the boat. One of Mangini's strengths is his ability to anticipate rather then react. Great call there Boozer. Mangini had to convince Woody that Bradway would only get in the way of progress. Unfortunately, another good move by the Jets. TX if you are implying Mangini is calling the shots I disagree. Sounds as if Tannenbaum is and possibly has been calling the shots since the season ended.
afosomf
Max, it looks like this was part of deal to Bring mangini here,, just held off on annpouncement to save Bradways face........ My gut tells me that Bellly told mangini to make this a dealbreaker,, plus i wouldnt be at all surprised to see Terry run draft then bolt as asst gm to kc,,, why would Belly make him do this, you would think that Mumbles would want to keep Badway Terri is as good as gone to KC, i hear he is buying house right next to cockroach. Let the tampering charges begin!!!!!!!!!!

PatsFanTX
If what i just heard on 1010wins is true, the jets have made an enormous step in the right direction today. Tannenbaum has brains and aready has an excellent repoir with Mangini. Anybody hear the same, or have a link confirming? Lance, just check out the other 7 threads on the main page. Max did not set up a separate "Bradway Forum".

baamf
I love this quote "It was my decision to go in a new direction, and we have mutually agreed Terry Bradway will step down as general manager, and remain with the Jets as a consultant on player personnel and the draft," said Johnson. Maybe Woody is showing some balls afterall...
NJ
What the hell do we have to loose? TB has made more proven blunders than proven great moves. Roll the dice and lets get a football team here.

Bugg
If point A was getting rid of Edwards and Bradway and point B getting Mangini to run the show with Tannenbaum, so be it. Not gonna kill anyone. Bradway did an okay job. But what probably killed him was that he didn't stick a shiv in Edwards when everything happened last month. As a scout he actually has some good ideas, but gets in trouble when he falls in love with workout warriors right before the draft and cannot manage the cap to save his life. May be Woody Johnson is talking really loud if quietly in this move just how angry he is at Bradway for not being loyal to him by being so nice and accomodating to that idiot Edwards on his way out. And if that's the case, great.
