pdxgreen
You know when you were trading baseball cards as a kid. And you heard another neighborhood kid got a really crappy card somebody tried to slip you in a trade. (probably a Todd Van Poppel card) Same feeling...
Daddy Wang Doodle
Damn. There goes our shot at the super bowl
varjet
Another sign that this is an evaluation year. SF can take a chance on White's upside. The Jets need someone reliable who can catch. Look for DT to come back. We are not taking chances like that this year.
heymangold
Good enough for the super bowl runner up, not good enough for the Jets.
TNJet
Waste of a roster spot. 2 catches 19 yds.

But "losing out" on Kevin White to SF isn't a problem. White hasn't caught an NFL pass since Dec 30, 2018, concluding a season in which he had 8 total catches (in 9 games played) for less than 100 yards and 0 TDs. That's what complete and utter desperation looks like.

We cannot go into the season with a bunch of injured WR's and expect Sam Darnold to improve in his 3rd year. Yes i do realize #1 WR's don't grow on trees and no team is open to dealing any that we know of.

Lurker89
In years that aren't the trash compactor that 2020 has been the Jets are a nightmare... It is mind boggling that people are expecting anything good from the Jets this season. Just enjoy the sh--show and hope we take some baby steps in the right direction. Our beloved franchise with it's track record is more likely to ruin Sam than help him flourish into a top 5 QB. Digging through what's left on the scrap heap is a futile effort with two weeks to go before season open in a year with no preseason. Last year looked promising and by week four we wanted to gouge our whiskey soaked eyes out... I'm going in expecting it to be worse and I'm going to enjoy it either way.
