Raiders always play well in the first half under Gruden then collapse. Houston is better offensively then the Jets. Burrow, Chase, and Higgins will be unstoppable in future years. Stafford looks great in LA. Carolina and Philly will be playoff contenders all year. They just need an average defense , and this team easily a playoff team. ( 2-0 in the AFC against possible playoff teams ) Maybe 3-0 if they can beat the Dolphins at home next week. All this guy does is produce every year, lots of yards, lots of tds, good comp rate, good passer rating, acceptable interception rate, stays healthy. Yeah but there are no unions or zoning laws in California. Also a tiny dot in the vast, comparatively undeveloped swampland of East Rutherford is much more expensive property than it is within a city of 4 million residents (even in a lower-income section like Inglewood). So anyway, these collective, increased relative costs mean architecture/design must be ugly and cannot possibly look like the works of art built elsewhere. Don’t forget: when there are 2 teams sharing a stadium, in order to keep it neutral to not favor one team, the stadium has to have no character whatsoever, and needs to look like it should say Trane or Carrier on the outside. It can’t possibly look like this work of art in L.A. Honestly I blame Mara/Tisch more than Woody here. Yeah the Jets are 50/50 partners on paper, and WJ should get blame for not pushing or convincing them to change the design (and ultimately caving). But it’s likely Mara/Tisch already had in mind what they wanted to do and it was for Woody to jump aboard & take it or leave it. I’m just basing this on those mockups for the WSS, which looked quite different - and far better - than this forgettable build that became MetLife.
