lol all you want, your response was as hyperbolic as the post you responded to.

People get locked up for fighting all the time.

And you may not see it, but it did indeed come off as a defense of the assault.

No, it wasnt it.  What they did was obviously wrong and obviously a crime.  It was very clear I laughed at the idea they should be locked up for life...but, whatever, people make up whatever they want these days.

Don't agree that assault on a women is worse than assault on a man.  That's a paternalistic attitude that's not relevant to the crime.

The NFL suspended Rice because the video went public.  This video is public.  The NFL needs to respond in an equal manor.  The NFL created a precedent with the RIce case.  Without video evidence a cover up by the league is appropriate.  With it you're blackballed out of the league.  Before the video was released Kamara was okay to play.  Now he should be out.

Ray Rice situation is very different. He beat a small woman not a grown man.

Besides I think society has learned that the league overreacted with Rice like they did with Kaepernick anyway.

---

Goodell should stop trying to be the police. Even the police aren't very good at their jobs, how is a suited elitist like Goodell gonna do?

If there is evidence that this fight rose to criminal assault then Kamara & friends will be charged. If not then they wont.

The NFL doesn't have to do anything because they make themselves look stupider when they do

My dad once said you get into a fight, the next day the other guy is showing off his injuries to his pals at the junkyard where he shovels sh*t for a living while you’re trying to convince your coworkers at the office that you’re not a psychopath.

My Dad would ask who hit who first? Before I could answer, he would say,” don’t care, it’s garbage night, wash you hands before you sit at the table!”

The man was defensless and was being pummelled.

The league isn't trying to be the police.  They are trying to protect their brand.

Nowhere in your post did it come off like we're defending the beating. You're just saying "lock him up for life sounds ridiculous" I happen to think the same.

That would be like someone saying"people who steal should have their hands chopped off" and I say how ridiculous that is, only to be met with "OMG, you're defending theft!"

People these days just lack any type of nuanced thinking

Am I wrong or does that video clearly show the victim on the floor, in a defenseless position, probably unconscious, continue to be pummeled?  the continuation at the point of him being on the floor is an assault on a defenseless person.  Same as Rice AFAIC.  My opinion: based on what I see there, Kamara should be given at least a full year off.

What does wokeness have to do with this?  A defensless person was assaulted.   Is the crime any different if the victim is gay, trans, male, female or identifies as cattle?  I really don't get this.

You have criminal behavior that borders on out of control rage on another person and you're worried about the sex of the victim or how the victim personally identifies themselves.

You totally missed the context of what I was saying. I wasn't in any way shape or form defending the assault regardless of who it was done on.  My point was in how society is trying to blur the distinction between genders. The statement@doitny made of assault of a women was worse than a man. Many of us here including myself have been raised to strongly believe in that, its just that now with all the gender equality agendas its eroding that mindset in people.

I don't think I missed the context at all.  I think that was my point.  Eroding that mindset is healthy.

Its healthy till it's not. Beware what you wish for , Just ask female athletes now competing against the equivalent of biological men or females at grade schools having to share bathrooms with trans girls . Everyone wants to be inclusive and accepting until it starts harming them or their livelihoods.

That's a completely different argument and has nothing to do with the perpetrators of violence on other people.

I take it the only fights you've witnessed or been in have been mutually agreed upon and both men or women, said, "alright pal, that's enough, put up your dukes up!!!!" and a kind and friendly handshake was initiated before the fists started flying?   And then they went and shared a mike shake after?

4 v1 and stomping people when they are down is for straight up pussies. if thats what you do then you are a ******* bitch

No idea what this has to do with anything, but sure, I’ll bite. Why not? I mean, just ask females in general how awesome it is living in a patriarchal society where they are spoken down to, paid less, constantly patronized, made to believe they need men’s “protection,” and are made to feel they have little value unless they have a husband or children. So yeah, beware what you wish for, I guess. Darn kids and their pee-pee breaks.

Plus the disconect between being okay with men perpetrating violence on men because it's manly and ignoring the connection that violent men might actually beat the crap out of women which isn't manly.

That seems like an academic exercise not anything practical for application in our world

we should be judged by our actions, not by possible connections

The fights I have seen in bars usually involve one idiot trying to pickup another dudes girl and then a sucker punch and it's over.

Not a 4 vs 1 chicken sh*t assault where stomping is involved ... Put these thug pieces of sh*t behind bars.

Exactly.  These guys were thugs no better than Ray Rice.   Kamara should be done in the NFL.

Do you truly believe what is happening today is helping women have more equality, if anything the wokeness and the pandering to every outlier special interest group is stripping away all of the gains that have been made in those areas.  The more this country moves towards socialism the more everyone's liberties are being ripped away.
