He would greatly benefit from an ayahuasca retreat. This should motivate Aaron Rogers to come here and help Julius find his inner peace. Another reason Knicks > Nets.

Jets fans need a group ayahuasca retreat this morning:)

yeah but we need to know about our cap space. Rodgers might be just a 16 mil hit this year but next year its for the whole 60 mil. and if we dont get Rodgers a FA QB like Jimmy G will have a bigger cap hit this year.

i think FAs will want to know if its Rodgers cause theres no guarantee we get Jimmy if it doesnt work out. it could be Baker or even White. big difference.

this needs to be done today cause by Wednesday some FAs will be gone . maybe even our plan B at QB.

Carr didnt wait, no other player is going to wait. they will be moving the next 2 days.

Next year is $32m

You didn’t go out to dinner afterward with a supermodel and party until the wee hours of the morning Dunnie. (although I’m sure you could if you want to)

I don’t think Aaron worries about where he has to be at 7am on a Monday morning the way most people his age do.

There has not even been a hint of the Jets showing any interest in any other QB (besides Carr). Not even a fake story from some of these reporters. He’s coming. We will be fine.

I remember Early on Connor Hughes said or tweeted that if Lamar Jackson became available, the Jets would be at the front of the line.

haven’t heard anything since.

just looked again and its says last 2 years are dummy years for the cap. so we would be paying 53 and 60 mil in cap when hes retired? thats crazy. we should have just got Carr.

Clinton Hill is in bk next to ft Greene. I think u mean Clinton which someone made up out of thin air a few years back and everyone ignored. HK is the real name

It's also called Clinton Hill. A lot of people in my office (Corcoran UWS) called it that. It's  really Midtown West. From what I know Hells Kitchen was a name derived from the tough neighborhoods culinary attraction. The name has no connection  anymore except for historical note.

I think Carr wanted to go to the Saints. He was never coming here.

The Jets have personally harmed the fans for 50 years

Maybe you've been harmed, I haven't.  Disappointed, sure, but harmed?  Seriously?

8 hours ago, Beerfish said:

and still we have a host of people never worried about a thing as if the guys that run the jets have got it all under control.

I'm not worried about it because it's March.

And FA hasn't started.

And NFL Front Offices can, in fact, do two things at once.

And because I know I don't know everything, I don't work for them, I don't really know whats done or not done, in progress or not in progress.

So why on earth would I be worried now, today?

8 hours ago, Beerfish said:

As for me in particular?  I don't like the team to have to totally kiss an assholes ass right up to zero hour, because well no one has the balls to stand up to said player.

We've had alot of true assholes play for our team.  Not sure why Rodgers is an "a$$hole" because he's a bit of a egotistical hippy dippy.

Hate to break it to you, but every great QB has been a bit egotistical and self-centered.  Some might say a$$holes, kind of comes with the territory.

So is it the hippy dippy part you find so offensive?

It will probably get done tomorrow morning and then we can throw rose petals at his feet for the next few months for agreeing to sacrifice himself to be a a jet.

No one will make you.  If you think it's the wrong move (and there are reasons why someone might think that) you can certainly say so.

But you seem seem quite obsessed with off-season, off-field personality, instead of on-field activity (when and if it comes).

Next year?  Same time, same place, same discussion pretty well guaranteed.

Guaranteed.  Same way it happened for Brady.  And Manning.  And Drew Brees.  And pretty much every 40 or over NFL HOF QB in their later years.  This is what they do, waffle.

Put another way, it's the same as KISS having their 15th "Final" Tour.  The greats always waffle about quitting.

Smoke a bowl and relax my friend.  You and I cannot effect this outcome, we're only along for the ride, maybe stop acting like it's all about Rodgers personally hurting you, because it isn't.  All parties acting in enlightened self-interest......

P.S. if the Jets do allow this to fester after FA has started, and fail to get Rodgers OR another QB upgrade, well, that's a great sign this administration isn't up for the task, and should be replaced.  Maybe the next one will do better.

i cant believe JD and Saleh are this stupid. i think this is all owner driven. Woody is forcing this. i think JD and Saleh would have went for Carr.

I have no idea, I'm not in the room as these decisions get made.  But I don't see anything that tells me your conjecture is anything more than that, projection.  For all we know, JD is hardon for Rodgers, we can't know for sure.

Funny enough, I've been waiting on the Zach Wilson narrative to start going this way too, that "Woody forced JD to pick Zach".

Seems some folks just want to give JD a pass on bad decisions, while giving credit for the good ones.

I'd say a GM who lets his owner force him to make bad decisions is a pretty bad GM, more of a neutered lapdog than a GM really.  Is JD a neutered lapdog?

Still think he's on some high level trolling.   If he retires after all this he'd be loathed by every jet fan and would be screwing over his great friend in Hackett.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's already told JD he's in a couple days ago and wanted to see if it would be leaked.
