The organization’s like SF, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, GB and to some extent Giants do it the right way. JD blew it when he doubled down on Zach without getting a competent backup to compete for the starting job in 2021 & 2022. Then after realizing how badly he screwed the players, fan base and ownership, threw the Hail Mary on Rodgers only to have that explode in his face while letting several solid backup Qb’s sign elsewhere.

2024 seems likely to be more of the same. He and Saleh will be jettisoned after next season, Rodgers will bale and a 2nd rate GM and college coach will be starting from scratch as we have a massive sell off of GW, Breece, Carter etc. for draft capital.

I highly doubt he and Saleh are gone after next year. They will win just enough to survive next year due to being all-in and relying on AR. It’s smoke and mirrors but will get them both at least a short extension. That is why I hate this team. I cannot get behind those 2 under any circumstance.

How did he blow it? Zach was qb2. There was a guy named rodgers.
pretty much any team in nfl history that loses her starting qb in the first drive of the season is f’ed

Just to let you know the first 2 years of the Shanahan Lynch era the 49’ers were like 10-22

Based on Jets fans feelings they should have been booted

Not quite

In their first two seasons, they were 10-22

but in their 3rd season they went 13-3

We all know it:

Whatever pick the Jets would have ended up with had they lost will turn out to be one of the greatest QBs in NFL history.

What a freaking clown show coach, GM, and organization from the top down.

The smart move was to tank, but if you’re gonna try and win, you can’t even win convincingly over one of the worst teams in the NFL despite taking 20-0 lead (or whatever it was)??
