He had no idea the catch won the game.  This confirms the Jets were right in trading him because he couldn't learn the playbook.

100%. He also has a superstar QB throwing to him. If Mahomes was on the Jets throwing him the ball instead of Zach Wilson, he would get some nice grabs as a Jet. But not much more. He is nothing special.

More of an indictment on scouting? All of these guys have major talent but (for one reason or another) are nothing special in the NFL. Yes. Moore got hurt but even when healthy he has yet to live up to his hype when he first came into the NFL. Hardman is your typical bottom of the roster JAG and Mims is a collossal bust.

So yeah, I'm not so sure this one's on coaching.

Maybe it's on scouting vs coaching. BUT, no team can have 11 superstars, day one hall of fame players filling out their roster. Heck, if teams have 2, MAYBE 3 superstars on offense, that's about it. The rest of the guys are 'jags' as you call them, but the coaching staff has to figure out how to use them and develop an offense that caters to their strengths. Andy Reid seemed to, with that 'jag' Hardman. It was Reid who drafted Hardman in 2019.

Andy Reid is great at getting one or 2 good plays a game from sub par players like Hardman and MVS.

Good for him.  No one can ever take that moment away from him for the rest of his life.  That said he was pretty bad overall this postseason.  Dude almost cost them the game against Buffalo.  Pretty sure he had another fumble in another game.  We obviously had something in mind with him in a Rodgers-led offense but couldn't figure out how to use him after he went down.  Regardless he was a one year depth piece who we managed to at least get some value for.  

 

If you want to be upset about "what could have been", be upset that the QB we could have drafted at 6th overall when we had no QB(who has ties to NY with his dad) just won his 3rd Super Bowl.

He didn't suffer because of Zach.  JD killed the team by not unloading Zach in the offseason and bringing in a competent backup.

Woody gave every one a pass 4 plays in and JD sat on his hands and waved the white flag until the trade deadline passed.

Zach didn't draft himself or put himself into the starting lineup at any time he was here.  This blame Zach stuff for not being an NFL QB isn't Zach's fault.  He is what he is.  The Jets are a pro-football team.  This is all on JD and Saleh.

Bringing in Tim Boyle to caddy for Rodgers wasn't Zach's fault either.

The Giants "dumped" Kadarius Toney last year to the Chiefs and he caught a huge TD in the Super Bowl in that game and helped the Chiefs win. And he was a first round pick. Who cares at the end of the day?

I'm not sure why people don't see the situation for what it was. Hackett ran a poor offense and limited all of our player no matter how limited they were. Zach was running that system as it was drawn up and it suck at the end of the year

Zach is better than any back up in the league

He's not better than almost any backup in the league.  If he's every going to be anything he needs to sit at the end of the bench with a very good staff for at least a year or two.  Zach has tools and a tin head for pro-football.   He needs a ton of work to be barely competent.

He was already on the team prior to being with NY it’s not like he did anything special. It just as well could have been MVS. If he has been playing great since he signed back with the Chiefs I would agree.

He had 124 yard receiving in the regular season and 62 in the playoffs.

Not anything special?  Catching the game winning TD in a SB is very special.  Teams are made up of a lot of players.  The Chiefs are practically a dynasty at this point.  They wanted him and they found a roll for them that helped them win a championship.  

The Jets suck because their O sucks.  Our coaching staff couldn't even find a roll for him.  Teams that win championships have rosters not just a hand full of stars.  Your take on this is frankly nuts.  It shows a complete lack of respect for how rosters are built and roll players impact games.

Yes nothing special, Reid schemed a player open on an easy route. It’s not like he blew up after leaving. Yes the game winning catch in the SB congrats to him for the catch.
