jetsruinedmylifeandhealth
Hated the hiring then. Why the Jets jumped on the latest rookie flavor of the month coordinator we'll never know. A veteran coach was needed, someone with a track record and credibility But no the Jets had to again bring a dumb inept rookie coach who immediately showed he wasnt the man for the job, couldnt instill discipline in the team, couldnt build a staff, couldnt make adjustments... Like this was going on from day one and it NEVER GOT BETTER

DonCorleone
Woody is the worst owner in professional sports. He does not have a winning team because winning is a true commitment. TuscanyTile2
Joe Douglas has had 5 offseasons to build an OL and he has completely failed at it. It's time to put that at the forefront. He also hired Robert Saleh.

MichaelScott
3 hours ago, kevinc855 said: Just a reminder! Also was proud to heckle him on a day like Today We couldn't have possibly known at the time but, being a Joe Douglas pick, it was a guarantee that he was going to be a bust. Both of these incompetents should have never survived last season. Douglas should have been gone prior to last season and the new GM should have decided is Saleh got one more year (last season) to prove something. I said it that entire offseason and I'll keep saying it because, well, I was right - Douglas NEVER should still been around to make that God awful, "prioritize keeping my job over the wellbeing of the franchise", trade for Rodgers. The man should have been out the door the moment the offseason started. The fact that man was in a position to make that horrible desperate trade, wasting that capital, and then was able to waste the picks we had in that draft (and another draft on top of it) doomed any chance this team had of building a long term viable winning team. Instead, after this year and another wasted season, we're going to be in for yet another complete ground up rebuild. Awesome. Can't wait to get to watch all the threads this offseason arguing about what we can get for Sauce/Hall/Wilson. I tried to tell ya'll but you were too busy with your hallucinations of Aaron Rodgers making this team a contender🙄 While everyone is all gitty in the Adams threads, here's another statement that everyone's going to hate but will again show to be 100% correct: This team should be SELLING BIG by the trade deadline. JD has been here 1-2 years too long to stop the bleeding at this point. Get the next GM every bit of capital you can for year 1 of the next great rebuild. Bleedin Green
JD has been one of the league's worst GMs for 6 years running. Not only is the coaching staff he hired a mess, but the roster is a total joke. Those asserting otherwise are doing so based solely on their recognition of names that were once good 5 years ago but already shells of their former selves before making their way to NY. Too bad they are mostly trash at actually playing the game, as is continually affirmed by the rest of the league. At this point the only thing JD has going for him is this place's longstanding hardcore fetish for fat white guys.

Woodsy has had no real success outside of the first two years of Rex Ryan. Their only success was when Doubleday was still running things and they were along for the ride, and when they got out of the way and let Minaya spend some $ and had Sandy Alderson work his last little bit of magic (2015). It was very hard for Mets front office folks to try and build any kind of winner while managing and trying to work with scum like the Wilpons. They could do it in short bursts...1999-2000, 2006, 2015-16...but as long as Wilpon scum remained present it was not going to last The Wilpons did a lot of harm

varjet
The program that JD built, including his hiring of Saleh, was basically failed after his first two drafts. they were allowed another chance with the Sauce draft, and basically to make a go of it with a rapidly aging AR8. They did not get extensions. They will not get extensions. Woody will accomplish what very few owners do-to get a new coaching staff without having to buy the existing ones out.
