Iceman88
Oh my lord. If we select Steve Slayton my tickets go up for sale and I'm jumping off the GW. I concur. The only RB I will accept us taking is Johnathan Stewart in the second round and that is purely Oregon homerism on my part.

Iceman88
I just realized the Niners suck balls this year and Kiper thinks they will have the fifth pick. Great lets make NE even better by giving them the fifth pick in the draft. Dammit the Niners were retarded for making that trade last year. Iceman88
Wait, what trade ? Last years draft, they got NEs pick which was like the 29th or something for the Niners first round pick in this years draft. It will probably be a top ten pick. Iceman88
SF will eventually start winning when they get Smith back. They have deeper issues than quarterback. Did you read Frank Gores comments after last game? He said the offense basically quit on the offensive coordinator and doesn't trust any of his play calls. genom
I hate the patriots. Ultimately, they acquired Randy Moss (4th rounder from 49ers) and a top 10 first round pick, in exchange for their 28th overall pick last year. That my friends is the definition of savvy. Agreed, with all the holes we have i would rather have as many 3rd and 4th rounders as we can get. I have always thought this is where you can still get some good talent but without the attitude and high pay.
gangreenman
Who gives a F*** about Mel Kiper? What gives him a right to say which team will draft where, and which team will trade up or down halfway through the season? WTF?

Sperm Edwards
Yep, we got Jones and Leon why the hell would we need a 3rd one? So we can have THREE RB's who we excuse for crappy blocking instead of only two. Jones is hardly special. But he's hardly awful either. If you watched the first few games, even Tomlinson needs solid blocking. Shaun Alexander disappeared when Hutchinson did. Larry Johnson's still good but nothing like he was with two HOF'ers and more on his OL. You build up the OL. Do it right & amazingly, so-so talents like Rudi Johnson, Mike Anderson, Reuben Droughns, Dominic Rhodes, Derrick Ward, Olandis Gary, etc will look like franchise RB's. Put a solid RB behind an awful OL and you get 2006 Edgerrin James. OL pcks take longer to develop (generally) so go after that first. What's the point of having McFadden split carries with Jones & Leon for 2-3 years behind a zero line with a defense that can't get off the field until it puts you in must-pass mode? How do these guys have jobs? they didn't run on every play because they were getting stuffed every time they tried. I'm all for running 100% of the time...if you move the sticks, if you don't move the sticks you look lik Hermy in the playoffs against the same damn team. Like fools who quote W/L stats for teams with a 100-yard rusher or with a lone back getting 20 or 25 carries. Never considering the AMAZING coincidence that teams with a lead will continually run the ball to eat up clock AND that most teams with crappy run defenses lose more games than they win. ...and a horse moves because it has a buggy behind it I suppose.
