GimmeShelter
Ton of big play potential but alligator arms in big spots while always battling nagging injuries.....has continued in Washington.
NYJETS3233
i think he was a bust plain and simple... he didnt work out like we should have expected from him..and he always had an injury, but unlike coles, never tried to play through them
Ten
Great deep threat and sideline man but useless over the middle. He could of been a very good player for us with a stronger armed QB.
DMaynard
Injury prone and played soft. Had big play potential, but it was wasted with Chad's arm. Trading him to the Skins to get Coles back was a good trade for both teams.

SoFlaJets
he had one good half-season all his time as a Jet...Sideline Santana will never be remembered for his guts and toughness as a Jet

Irish Jet
Couldn't make palys over the middle and and never suited our offence. Also very injury prone.
Take'er To The Zoo Rock
He would field a punt, run three yards then out of bounds. Plays like he doesn't want to risk future paychecks.
Cmart28Coles87
Great playmaker, great deep threat but wasn't really physical enough. It was a good trade for both sides but I still wish we had him because we need a playmaker on offense. But I still like Coles better.
#27TheDominator
Moss/Coles is a tossup. Coles is more hardnosed, but Moss is a much bigger threat and a way better return man. On a bad offense I'd rather have Moss because he can take a wr screen the distance. The durability is the thing that swings it in Coles favor. Moss missed a lot of games for his hamstrings, IIRC. Would have been nice to have both, the way it should have been.

4HCrew
How many games has Santana missed while a redskin? the guy could not run to the sideline fast enough. The biggest problem Coles has is that the Jets do not have a qb that can utilize all of his skills

If they "overpaid" Coles then why did we trade to get him back and give him a raise in a new deal?

Bob
No punt returner ever got out of bounds faster than Sidline Santana. I think I danced an awkward white guy dance the day he left.
Sperm Edwards
They got Moss for Coles, but they got Coles for nothing. If they "overpaid" Coles then why did we trade to get him back and give him a raise in a new deal? I wouldn't say they got Coles for "nothing." They got Coles for the 13th pick in the draft (which ended up being Ty Warren). Then they gave Coles a giant SB. Then they traded him 2 years later, absorbing a huge cap hit. Then they gave Santana Moss a big SB as soon as the trade was completed. I'd have to say that overall these two players have not worked out for Washington, regardless of their individual skill sets, when you consider what they gave up. jetophile
Played scared after his injury, ran East/West and occasionally ran North. He was Dedric Ward's "Calcified Twin".
Arsis
I remember that one spin move he put on that guy... it was just so beautiful. The defender didn't know what happened. It was classic.
